Usyk quickly realized that Saturday's Dubois rematch couldn't be won by cute ring generalship, angles and guile. Instead he was forced to go mano-a-mano with one of the biggest punchers in the heavyweight division. And he was destructive. My column: saturdaynightboxing.com/2025/07/opinio…

He's a better pro fighter than Loma. His footwork is just as special, but it's also more purposeful. He's better at working both sides than Loma, who really only liked to attack from an opponent's left side. He has more power. To be fair, Bam learned a lot from Loma.
What Bam did with a good defensive fighter & counter puncher was more impressive than most people know. He is special. Reminds me of young Loma #BamBam #rodriguezvscafu
R.I.P. Ozzy. Not the biggest fan of the genre, but he/Sabbath had some great songs. War Pigs is my favorite of his.
This is a fair piece by @pugboxing. A number of people affiliated with PBC deserve Hall of Fame consideration. Haymon and Lewkowicz are no-brainers to me. boxingscene.com/articles/comme…
I thought Malcolm-Jamal Warner was a terrific actor. Probably burdened by old stigmas of being a "TV actor" in his career, but he did some really good character work in his later years. R.I.P.
Huge night for the #LibyanBoxingHeads.
🚨RAMIREZ FIGHTS FOR INTERIM TITLE Albert Ramirez will face Jerome Pampellone on August 8th in Libya for the interim WBA Light Heavyweight Title
Fury and Joshua are sure fire hall of famers in my book. So I'm not sure why Usyk's resume is being disected like he was just the best Heavyweight of a weak era. It might not be as good as the 70s or 90s were but it's not a weak era at all.
Taylor-Prograis was one of those terrific, high-level fights that was a great advertisement for boxing.
Since 2000, the only heavyweight I would favor over Usyk is Lennox Lewis, although a fight against Vitali would be a war.
Not the best outcome for boxing tonight. The hope was Barrios gets elevated or gets knocked off. Now he just…is.
Had a good feeling about Fundora heading into the fight tonight.
Cafu’s corner stops the fight. Relentless pressure from Bam tonight.
Workmanlike from Pacheco tonight. Nothing better. Nothing worse.
Why retire after that performance? Whoever.
@snboxing What do you want next for Usyk...? Retirement...? Parker...? Kabayel...?
I think that was Usyk’s best performance at heavyweight. Complete performance in every aspect tonight. Brilliant stuff.
