We wanted to take our time to analyse the changes the Government has made to the Planning and Infrastructure Bill. Here's my take: The Bill remains a step in the right direction towards getting Britain building again. Replacing the broken status quo of site by site protections…
Opinion: Britain and Europe need to get serious about air conditioning on.ft.com/44sxu1G
Britain is subsidising the no-hope lawsuits NIMBYs use to delay housebuilding and infrastructure. In this clip, Kent’s CPRE admit they probably wouldn’t have brought a lawsuit to stop a 160 home development if it wasn’t for the Aarhus Cost Caps.
Why don't British homes have air con? The 3 problems that are leaving us too hot at home when the temperature soars, and our three point plan to solve them and cool Britannia.
This is a hugely welcome initiative, and the amendments to the Planning and Infrastructure Bill last week make it particularly timely
Britain stands at a revolutionary moment. For too long politics has failed those it was meant to serve. A year ago we came together to change that. Today we set out a bold vision to rebuild the economy and restore the democratic contract with the British people. 1/

On Thursday night, we heard that government was making big concessions on its planning bill, putting lots more controls on its nature recovery plans. I find this disappointing. And to explain why, I have to tell a story I’ve been holding off from sharing.
Labour Yimby are disappointed by the Government’s decision to concede to the Nimby lobby on the planning reforms this country so desperately needs. For the first time the Labour Government is backing the blockers, not the builders. 1/
These amendments are radical, but the status quo where safe, clean nuclear power projects are delayed and made more expensive due to repeated legal challenges and poorly-drafted environmental legislation is simply intolerable
No more fish discos. Backed by @BritainRemade & @lfg_uk, today I’ve set out radical plans to speed up and cut the cost of building the new nuclear power stations we need for our economy, for our energy security and for nature. telegraph.co.uk/news/2025/07/1…
Fantastic meeting in Edinburgh last night, so much expertise in the room. Let's get that ban on new nuclear energy in Scotland lifted!
We’re in Edinburgh! Asking how we ensure Scotland doesn’t miss out on the nuclear power renaissance. Joined by Lincoln Hill from @NIAUK, Robert Deavy from @GMBScotOrg, and a room full of supporters calling on the Scottish Government to embrace new nuclear energy.

Our 3 point plan to cool Britannia with air con. 1⃣Allow overheating regulations to be met by air con 2⃣Include heat pumps that can cool in government grant schemes 3⃣Stop punishing homes using the latest tech with bad energy efficiency ratings @Sam_Dumitriu on @TimesRadio
Housebuilding in London seems to have collapsed to 1/20th of target levels, apparently because all tallish buildings need approval from an organisation called the Building Safety Regulator, which is bottlenecked. Very urgent action needed.
The govt says London needs to build 88,000 homes a year. The latest data from @MoliorLondon, published today, shows private housebuilding is running at 1/20th of that figure. (1/)
Cool Britannia
36 degrees indoors! Have a look at the temperatures our supporters recorded at home with no air con (post a pic in the replies if you can beat them!) Only 5% of British households have air con due to anti-air con rules. It's time to change them and COOL BRITANNIA.

Our electricity is cleaner than ever, while our summers are getting hotter year on year. The good news is at the exact time the sun is making us too hot, it’s also providing abundant solar energy that can power air con. It's time to legalise AC. samdumitriu.com/p/legalise-ac

Backed by 7,650 Britain Remade supporters, I've written to the Prime Minister urging him to reconsider the reported decision to abandon zonal pricing. We cannot afford to be locked into higher bills for years to come.
If reports are true this will lock *everyone* - not just Scotland - into higher bills for years as we will spend billions switching off wind farms when it’s windy (rather than allowing them to sell power dirt cheap locally). A mistake. theguardian.com/business/2025/…
