⛳️💥Deputy First Minister @little_pengelly 'chipping it like Rory' here at the Open. Passing the club to First Minister @moneillsf with a laugh- "But you play golf🤣🤣" Great atmosphere as play gets underway today.

On the 21st July 1972, the IRA detonated 22 bombs within 80 minutes across our city, killing 9 innocent people and injuring over 130. This evening I was honoured to lay a wreath on behalf of the @duponline as we held our annual commemoration service, alongside council…

Despite the manufactured controversy, the Portrush parade brought more people into the town last night than the golf has all week, and they loved it. Tourists from the USA, Canada, France & beyond soaked up the sights & sounds of Ulster’s incredible band scene. They clapped,…
From top left: 2010 → bottom right: 2024. Over 15 years, the site appears to have remained commercially active despite the presence of disturbed and degrading asbestos. Environmental and public health implications remain unaddressed.
The site never has been secured The previous landowner had been allowing businesses to use the site, and the new landowner carried on the tradition The current and previous landowners had 7 & 8 years respectively to eliminate the public health hazard and remove the asbestos
It is understood the site owners had scheduled the removal of the asbestos to begin on July 16. However, the area couldn’t be secured. ➡️belfasttelegraph.co.uk/news/northern-…
Delighted to welcome the US Ambassador to the United Kingdom to Northern Ireland. We continue to be the top destination for US investment outside of London.
Pleased to have been given the opportunity to speak out about this issue. It’s not a “game changer” for politics here, but it’s interesting that many who are lobbying for votes at 16 turn it into a sectarian headcount. It’s harmful to young people! Let kids be kids!
🚫🗳 Vote at 16: 'It’s a disappointing development. It’s not a game changer… they should be careful what they wish for.' 🎤🎥Chief Reporter @jamesgould23 speaking to @matthew_shanks1. Matthew is a young person passionate about politics and has been involved in political spaces…

This is an extraordinary but entirely appropriate slap down for Alyson Kilpatrick, @NIHRC. Her intervention yesterday lacked professionalism, legal rigour or objectivity. I trust it wasn't shared by fellow Commissioners.
Excellent piece on the lodge. Thank you @PaulClark_UTV and the @UTVNews team. Your time and effort were greatly appreciated by the WM, Officers and Brethren at 1189. itv.com/watch/news/the…
A photo that agenda laden journalists won't share online.. .. And to think they say our culture is dying.
Bonfire night: no riots, no power cuts, no health crisis. Twelfth: thousands out, all peaceful. So naturally… “UVF planned to turn Belfast into a warzone” is the headline. Ah yes, let’s lead with the chaos that didn’t happen. Journalism at its finest. 👏

I was at one of them...and it was an awesome spectacle...all so well turned out, even in the heat... colourful, rhythmic and noisy... I saw tourists marching with them for the craic and posing for photographs with bandsmen and Orangemen... It's good to step out of your comfort…
Seeing loads of TikTok videos of Catholics watching the parades for the first time and really enjoying themselves. Nice to see. Reminds me of the old days.
