Hat-tip @sardesairajdeep for reminding your peers (with some exceptions) about how they have systematically & willingly contributed to the poisoning of the Indian societal fabric over the last decade/ corrosive implications for internal security will be high @IndEditorsGuild
SIMPLY BRILLIANT 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 @sardesairajdeep 👏🏾👏🏾🙏🏿
I’ve read @tjoseph0010’s book. Not only is it thoroughly researched, he’s careful to make a distinction between arguments backed by hard evidence vs speculation. Even in the parts that are speculative (the one on endogamy towards the end, for instance) he makes sound arguments.
Tony Joseph @tjoseph0010 remains polite in a situation where lesser men would have blown a gasket. He does have the advantage of being absolutely right, though, so can afford to.
Through his book Tony Joseph exhibits scientific rigour, discernment, and intellectual humility. He’s put his work out there for scrutiny by anyone. That’s science. That’s integrity. Can’t say the same about the random non specific accusations heaped by Mr. Pai and his ilk.
And when are we going to get the results of the Rakhigarhi ancient DNA test results? Why on earth is that taking such a while to see the light of public day ?
'Shinde... said his claims of the Indian origins of Indo-European language were based on a "hunch" and that he was making a logical argument, not a scientific one.' Amazing confession!
RETWEET if you consider Rep. Adam Schiff an American hero.
All that you wanted to know about India's foreign policy but were too afraid to ask whom to ask.
Much needed reflection.....merely mouthing and yelling the word from all podiums will not make us "atmanirbhar".
PM Modi’s US visit offers an opportunity for India to redress some of the technological asymmetry with China. Provided we learn from the past.
So much ado about Savarkar and also about Vikram Sampath's two-part biography of the man. For those disinclined to plough through the biography as well as for anyone interested anyway, here's a review in about a dozen pages. 1drv.ms/f/s!At4Zvv6RO3
Tributes to #VeerSavarkar on his 140th birth anniversary. 🙏 #VeerSavarkarJayanti #Savarkar #SavarkarJayanti

Timely warning.....we neglect it to our peril.
India’s vital interests demand “power balancing” & expeditious leap-frogging of technology-gap, if we are to stand up to hegemonic dragon. Realpolitik must take priority. @dravirmani
Dark history of secularism in India ? Or do you refer to the "dark roots" of the Vedic varna system of our civilisation? No amount of breezy articulation by J Sai Deepak in defence of our "ancient" culture and recourse to outdated "truisms" from Sanskrit can justify.
Does secularism imply denying the dark history and civilizational roots of a nation state? It clearly seems to be so in Bharat aided by the highest judiciary. Good article by @jsaideepak unpacking a recent judgement on renaming places.
Moronic disgrace to the uniform. The shame is that ignorance of this kind exists in fairly high military circles.
Why is @RahulGandhi against the country? Where is it mentioned that India is a union of states. if he cant read, why talk crap. SC, delving on a @INCIndia case stated there is no Pegasus on any mobile, yet he harps on it. Is he Indian or anti-India. Yet people want him as PM.
Why do we still subjugate ourselves to this slavish adherence to a dead language which was used for centuries to obfuscate and hide matters rather than help in communication. Sanskrit was always a source of "hidden" power ( actually obscurement of ignorance) by elites.
NITI AAYOG is now recommending Sanskrit rap competition to inculcate Indic values among the youth.
Stuck in a rut of inferiority due to colonial suppression? Actually due to the dumbing down of discourse during the counter-reformation movements and imposition of abridged forms of Vedic myths and shibboleths in the first millennium CE when Vedic sacrificial ideas proved futile
See this tweet from a Cornell professor to appreciate Indian heritage in mathematics! Sadly, a lot of facts about such heritage were suppressed under colonial rule and many Indians are unaware even now (and happily stuck in a rut of cultural inferiority complex)! 😢
What's Aurangzeb's relationship with India? Seriously. He was a Mughal ruler born in India, ruled India and died In India. Or they think he descended from Mars or what. FYI. Aurangzeb's grandmother was a Rajput Hindu.
"There is no bigotry in Hinduism..." - Justice Joseph tells Ashwini Upadhyay. Upadhyay says it is because of Hindus have become minority in many historical places. "Why history should start only after Ghazni-Ghori? What is Aurangazeb relationship with India", Upadhyay asks.
Ayush in its propaganda to promote ancient nonsense sometimes shoots itself in the leg India is top in "med tourism" (not medicinal travelers, also called 'mules' elsewer) due to affordable scientific healthcare Only contribution from Ayush is herbs in mortar/pestle in poster!
Utter nonsense and in line with earlier colonial projections of "martial races" and "non-martial" people. Just check the line-up of those who joined the 1857 rebellion versus those who sided with the colonial overlords; you will then understand how shallow your projection is!
4 of India’s greatest warrior peoples … What’s amazing is that one come from the South, one from central west, one from North west and the other from North East …and there are so many more great warrior races in our country …want to share who else you think are great warriors?
This is beyond idiocy to encourage rabble rousers and anti-historians like Malhotra into the precincts of an institute of learning. Sad.
The lows to which the IITs have fallen can be compared with the new depths our mainstream media plumbs these days
I am reminded of Christopher Hitchens' memorable phase "a saturnalia of sycophancy" when I see former self-described Indian liberals cravenly genuflecting in front of the Modi sarkar
