Former naval-person. Now ‘navel-gazer.’ Reason, Rationality, Science & Technology.
If we accept it as a “lost cause”, will we be staking claim to 1st world status in 2047, buried under mountains of garbage? Enough of politics/religion/hate; leaders with mass following are duty bound to educate our masses - especially youth - on civic sense & good citizenship.
x.com/bettybloodclot… Adm, that's a lost cause. Neither education nor migration will bring about the sense of civic duty or self-awareness. @YashMor5 : WRT your post on the cleanliness of your cycling route
Do watch this heart wrenching interaction of this helpless little girl from West Bengal living in Gurugram with senior journalist @ajitanjum. This little girl's question left Ajit Anjum speechless. While most Indian News Anchors working in reputed News Channels are busy trying to…
Changing mindsets is one aspect. How about a debate on: Is Govt expenditure on melas & yatras better spent on “Swachch Bharat” ie garbage management, sanitation & hygiene ?
Swacch Bharat 2.0 to target changing mindsets on public cleanliness, else this cancer will consume our infrastructure.
So, what we need is to shift emphasis from ceaseless politics & religiosity to civic sense & duties of good citizens.
I agree sir. However, no amount of municipal efforts will work without a drastic improvement in our own civic sense. Spitting, littering, vandalism need to stop.
If true, this is most alarming & contrary to what we were told. Does it mean that our guided weapons were dependent for nav & targeting data on GPS or GLONASS? Both liable to be spooked or degraded! wionews.com/india-news/ind…
This may sound extreme, but I doubt if there is a truly “clean” city or even a 1000 metre stretch of urban India without garbage, plastic, building debris or excreta. Slogans had raised fond hopes but India’s waste challenge needs political will, huge funds & a changed mindset.
#Pune is 8th cleanest city in the country as per national Swachh Survekshan. For the past week I am trying to locate the city they are talking about amidst all the garbage 😳 We first need to recognise that we have a problem so that we can improve.. ss2024.sbmurban.org/#/ranking/fact…

Bravo India! Recommending, in the UN Security Council : “a two state solution…encompassing a sovereign, viable & independent state of Palestine.”
India's PR now says a ceasefire "must be put in place" in Gaza, India shares historic, "unwavering support to Palestinian brothers and sisters", How does MEA explain its abstention on resolutions calling on Israel for ceasefire then?
'Wo bas musalmaano se darta tha' is a beautiful poem written by Nikhil Sachan, a young graduate from the Indian Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University, and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode. The voiceover artist is Nasir Khan and the audio…

Close to Nirvana Country, during my morning cycling. Gurgaon is setting a new bench mark in urban planning and sustainability. Most animal and garbage friendly city. Such a joy to live in the millennium city 😊 #Gurgaon #Gurugram @IndianGems_ @DC_Gurugram @cmohry
The two JF-17 Block III fighter jets from Pakistan that participated in RIAT have departed from the UK. They will stop over in Turkey for refuelling before heading back to Pakistan.
Have experienced this contrast recently. Chaotic traffic, filth, squalor & potholes on one side of the border; and immaculate cleanliness, orderly traffic & a polite & gracious populace, on the other. Humbling…
Yes.. we could see that!
BREAKING- UK F-35 leaves India Will be badly missed 😢
I agree. In most emergency situations there is either no time, or not enough height to deliberately “steer the aircraft away from habitations” before the pilot abandons the aircraft or it crashes.
I hate to play myth-buster, but this needs saying. One - We often say pilots “steered away from civilians” in fatal crashes. It sounds noble, but in most cases, the aircraft wasn’t controllable. The pilot was incapacitated or had no time to act. That’s the hard truth. Two…
🚨 BREAKTHROUGH. For the first time, Israeli war crimes suspects have been arrested and interrogated in Europe over war crimes in Gaza. This follows a criminal complaint filed by @Glan_Law & the @HindRFoundation in Belgium. 🧵hindrajabfoundation.org/perpetrators/b…
Unless we fix our government primary schools in villages across India, I see very little future as a developed country. Spoke on this issue at a session full of Hyper nationalism. Education will make us great not optics or too much of nationalism.
#Horrific In Bhopal, MP, the roof of a govt PM Shri school collapsed while children were studying inside. This is not just an accident—it’s criminal negligence. How long will the MP govt ignore the crumbling state of public education? Our children deserve better.
AAIB could have avoided misleading speculation & charges of “obfuscation”, simply by indicating, through time stamps, the sequence of these events: signs of engine failure; deployment of RAT; and operation of fuel switches/fuel valves. @ Ad_Tel_21068
Critical question boils down to sequence of events, which AAIB report should have clarified. Did recycling of fuel shut off switches take place BEFORE or AFTER loss of engine thrust. In first case it could be cause of engine failure & in 2nd, pilot correctly followed SOP.
