On May 29, Popular Democracy (@popdemoc) abruptly announced a massive restructuring, including the lay off of 21 workers, effective mid-July. Twelve laid-off staff belong to our union, including some of Popular Democracy’s most experienced and longtime staff members.

Today we took a collective lunch break along with our siblings @postguild! The Post unilaterally decided to make us return to the office 5 days a week, so we convened for lunch to share how this policy is impacting our members. We are united! ✊

It's official: the ballots have been counted and we have officially been recognized as the Washington Post Tech Guild by the NLRB! In a 171-38 BLOWOUT vote, we voiced loudly that our union is important to us! That's 81%!
