The wonderful team from Linköping Univ have a preprint with follow-up experiments showing how Spike amyloids hamper fibrinolysis. We were right in 2021 already. Some clinicians who SAW sticky blood in ICU’s, chose to ignore it. It was a mistake. biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

San Francisco researchers show that 150 kHz ultrasound shatters amyloid microclots linked to Long COVID. Adding microbubbles and rtPA boosts the effect, suggesting a noninvasive therapy to restore blood flow and ease chronic symptoms. frontiersin.org/journals/bioen…

Recent white “abnormal” clots in two living patients. Interventional Radiologist and institution will remain anonymous. Doctor that declotted states has seen many over last several years. Not just seen by embalmers and the deceased.
Dr. Shannon Stott is leading a team using a novel microfluidics approach to identify SARS-CoV-2. A ‘Herringbone’ chip is coated with ACE-2, to pull out SARS-CoV-2 from blood: in acute COVID, “when we looked at basic plasma testing, we saw that no virus was found… but those same…
A new study suggests that exercise doesn’t clear microclots in people with Long COVID—it just fragments them into smaller ones. These smaller clots are linked to increased inflammation and impaired oxygen transport, which may help explain post-exertional malaise (PEM) and…
Research continues with amazing people who care. Resia Pretorius @resiapretorius Dr Philip Triantos @TriantosPhillip Jordan Vaughn MD @jfvaughnmd09 The research continues!
Other studies show bloods Inc VEGF, VWF etc in LC- could be explored to see if they correlate. What do you do when half of your group have normal levels? But same symptoms. Recent covid (RC) increases then but they tend to fall back to baseline 3-4 months. We need a test.
It’s to do with validation& assays. Caroline Dalton paper breaks things down. medrxiv.org/content/10.110… 50% LC had same Microclot count as controls- but same symptoms as those with raised microclots. Recent covid increased microclots Trend was LC raised Microclots but not all.
Professor Chris Ponting, of the university’s Institute of Genetics and Cancer, said: “For so long people with ME/CFS have been told it’s all in their head. It’s not. We see [it] in their blood." thetimes.com/uk/healthcare/…

I wrote this 2 years ago. ‘Find the clots. They are there’. x.com/drclairetaylor…
Clinical pearls for #LongCovid 1. Find the clots. They are there. If not PE or DVT there are Microclots. 100% of all long Covid patients tested so far have them.
My microscope was £25 but a white version is being sold for just £10
Just tried my clip on phone microscope 🔬 to check my nail food capillaries and it’s worked incredibly well. This is amazing. @BanhamGemma @renesugar @IsabelRamirezRD @dbkell @PutrinoLab @healingfromlc
🧵#STROKE Research Letter: A cross-sectional study of retrieved thrombus material from 8 participants who underwent endovascular thrombectomy demonstrated that thrombi exhibited strong amyloid staining.
This is a newly reported characteristic of retrieved thrombi that may provide insight into mechanisms of resistance to fibrinolysis. #AHAJournals @resiapretorius @JanPretorius98 @dbkell ahajournals.org/doi/full/10.11…
