I'm happy to share that Practicing Life Together, coming in September from @MoodyPublishers, is available for preorder. Writing this book and sharing the story of Brazos Fellows has been a real joy, and I'm hopeful that it will inspire others to take on a common Rule of Life.

I wrote for @CTmagazine about Nicholas Carr, Ivan Illich, and the role of the church in a digitally connected society. christianitytoday.com/2025/07/church…
from the inimitable Jane Greer-- Things are ending, or have ended, or will end. The pearls are strung with care, it is quite clear. There is no nothingness—but she can almost, some days, picture the world without her in it. newversereview.com/2-1-jane-greer Eternal memory.

Happy publication day to Alex Fogleman! This book, which I just finished re-reading, is a tremendous gift to the church. If you or someone you know cares about how we form mature followers of Christ, I couldn't recommend it more highly. Congrats, Alex, on a wonderful book.

Two years ago, I moved to Tulsa to become the inaugural dean of a new honors college. Then President @bradrcarson convinced me to leave my endowed position at Carolina to build the university’s sixth college. I am so proud of all we accomplished over the last two years 🧵(1/21)
"Send Moses, and he will teach me..." I really enjoyed this reflection on knowledge, scripture, and tradition from Brazos Fellows alum Taylor Slusser: brazosfellowsblog.wordpress.com/2025/06/16/sen…
We're pleased to make available the Brazos Fellows 2024-2025 Annual Report, which gives an overview of our last year of ministry and a glimpse at what we prayerfully expect in year eight of the fellowship. The report can be downloaded here: drive.google.com/file/d/1rAUHQL…

Had breakfast with my sister yesterday, and the phrase "mandatory team building" came up. Paging @belzpoems...surely he knows what to do with that one.
I recently read @RevNiebauer's new book--a deeply moving and very helpful read. If you want to encounter the story of sacred scripture afresh, and in the way the church fathers would have read it, I highly recommend picking up Four Mountains from Lexham Press.

On this, the feast of St. Pachomius, organizer of monastic communities, I reflect on the value of not going it alone in the life of prayer: brazosfellowsblog.wordpress.com/2025/05/15/wha…
What a joy to celebrate the completion of year seven of Brazos Fellows. Would you join us in praying God’s blessings on Griffin, Claire, Liz, Jake, Taylor, and Hannah as they go forward? Would you pray that the Lord will continue the work He has begun in them?
