We have been saying this for weeks. The Everglades detention center is operated by the state of Florida with no real federal authority. The people detained there don’t have access to legal processes. What the state of Florida is doing is illegal.
What’s happening at the Everglades detention camp is a scandal and a due process disaster. Basically, long story short, ICE and the immigration courts are trying to wash their hands of the people there and saying their detention is purely up to Florida. So nobody can seek bond.
