Fun fact. I experimented with AI mode content inserted into a test page. It started being cited and ranking better.

We all know that AI Overviews can hallucinate. Google tries to solve this with grounding. But what if the cited sources are also AI-generated? We ran a study on 500,000 pages and found that AI Overviews are more likely to cite AI-generated content than human-written content.

Counterpoint. I've been using AI assisted writing the last couple months. I've published more in that time than I do in a typical year. My articles are getting more views and social shares than they normally do as well. If anyone has noticed, no one has said anything.
