Yes. And when conveying meaning we must do so in multiple ways for people to better infer the meaning. We could apply the redundancy lens to our senses. Why is it helpful to see hear and feel an event? If redundancy was only ever negative why do we have multiple senses?

It's wording some proponents themselves use (one edubook even called that). And then when you correctly cite them back, they prevaricate that they meant it differently. The point is who does the thinking. There is an assumption that in instruction it is the student; not a given.
