A huge THANK YOU to everyone who has supported the book- I am so incredibly grateful and have made so many wonderful connections with educators far and wide along this exciting journey! Off the book goes for a reprint 🥳 #pinchme @JohnCattEd

The passion with which @Ella_AlShamahi shares the story about how the human species first emerged in the BBC documentary ‘Human’ is utterly infectious. A truly excellent storyteller!
In my latest piece for @SchoolsWeek, I explore how the parenthood penalty continues to affect teachers/school leaders across the profession. It’s time to reconsider how we must support & retain our talented workforce at every life stage. Link: lnkd.in/ebgpZ49k
‘It follows that the way teachers adapt techniques to their context is a feature, not a bug. Adaptation is the lifeblood of effective teaching (Hatano & Inagaki,1986). Intuition becomes something we have to work with, to develop and celebrate, not to squash.’ Yes @ProfCoe 🙌🏼
Quick fixes fade but when teachers develop their knowledge, skill and judgement, the impact lasts. Professor Rob Coe expands more on this in this blog. hubs.la/Q03yrsJk0

These adaptive guides from @ModernCassie are really useful. Also good to see practical examples in subjects like Art, Geography & PE rather than the usual Maths/Science/English. moderncassie.blogspot.com/2025/07/o-ne-o…
A really interesting blog about the implementation of ‘adaptive teaching guides’ from @ModernCassie So wonderful to read this account of co-creation across schools too. A focus on the ‘what’ and the ‘how’ is going strong here! 💪🏽
New Blog! "Adaptive Teaching Guides: Practical tools for equitable classrooms" Practical, teacher-led tools to make inclusion part of everyday practice, not an afterthought. Read the blog here: moderncassie.blogspot.com/2025/07/o-ne-o…

So carefully thought and put together.
🚨NEW BLOG🚨 This blog explores how school leaders can build cultures where diverse views are valued and how disagreement, when done well, can drive learning forward. Shout out to my thought partners on this @clairevh and @olicav 🙌🏼 teacherfeature2.com/2025/07/22/dis…
Love this from @teacherfeature2 “I think I disagree on this one…” This balances humility, honesty, and specificity: “I think” suggests openness. “I disagree” is clear and respectful. “On this one” signals that you’re not oppositional by nature, just thoughtful in this moment.

Loved reading this - thank you for sharing @teacherfeature2 💬Disagreeing in school leadership isn’t always comfortable, but it’s necessary. Like exercise, the discomfort is part of the growth. Avoiding it doesn’t make it go away. It just makes the problems grow in silence💬…

I think, this, by @teacherfeature2, is very good. You may disagree, of course — in which case, let's talk about it. It's about disagreement and how, well managed, can be a positive factor in teams.

A few years back, @joe__kirby was one of the original innovators who helped ignite a revolution in how we think about, write about, and actually do teaching. One of the UK’s best pioneers, and an inspiration to many, and myself.
This guy was sitting next to me at the DI conference, chatting away about DI, for about 2 hours before I realized who he was. His blog back in the old days of Twitter quite literally changed my life and career.
Expertise isn't about having more working memory, it's about needing less of it. Experts automate many components in long-term memory and can recognise meaningful patterns instantly, bypassing the need to process individual elements. ⬇️ 🧵
