This is so important and definitely worth remembering that staff need a break for the same reasons. They will work more effectively on the afternoon if they get the chance for break away from pupils.

Retention tip. A year or so ago, our headteacher introduced a new rule that any staff leaving would sing a karaoke song of their choice in front of whole school in their leaver's assembly. No one left this year. 🤣 🎤🎶👩🎤👨🎤

Been listening to this today. I recommend everyone working in education listens to it or reads this book. It is about her chronic illness, but goes so much deeper than that about how and why stress and trauma had a physical effect on our bodies. It's so good.

Embracing the signs of the universe, today will be a good day because my breakfast smoothie fitted exactly into the mug. I've been making it the same way for over 6 years, yet every day it turns out slightly different!

Starting my summer crochet project. Will be making these to keep my hands busy and my mind happy over the summer. Will probably have some to give away eventually.

Here is my summer list for the holidays. Something to give the weeks structure and maximise the time I have.
This perimenopausal, stressed, tired woman managed to navigate her symptoms to present to 100 trainee teachers and make sense! As when I open my mouth gobbledegook comes out sometimes, that is an achievement that needs celebrating.
