Still not finished, not sure it ever will be but we’ve made a lot of progress in developing our KS3 curriculum. Connected second-order concepts, guidance on outcomes and key vocabulary all identified for students, parents and staff to be aware of. #historyteacher
On World IVF Day I’m celebrating the science, alchemy and miracle that occurred to bring F&F into our lives. Fertility issues are a taboo that needs breaking. It’s not a guarantee (19 failed cycles) but it’s made parenthood possible for soo many more. #worldivfday

Today on @TheRestHistory, the great @peterfrankopan on silk roads, the empires of Eurasia and basically the entire history of the world. The only man who could do it… therestishistory.com
First draft of pedagogy knowledge organisers that I’ve put together to ensure that mentors, trainees and staff have a common foundation of knowledge and understanding. It links to clear strategies, questions to ask to facilitate coaching conversations and links to research.

Student perceptions of history We’re inviting GCSE and A-level students to take part in a quick survey about their views on history and future careers. By sharing their perspectives, students will help shape more support for careers linked to history. shorturl.at/SseM6
A labour of love but our Y7 KO’s are completed. We move onto trying to box off Y8/Y9. Chronology, Key Figure, Terminology and Core Content all in one place for students to reflect on and refer to during lessons and in preparation for assessments. #historyteacher
Any idea when @camcountry will be on stage tonight at @TabernacleW11? Doors say 7. @gigsandtours can you help?
Very excited for @Lionesses defence of their Euro crown! A more experienced team than when we won it 2022 with lots of talent throughout. Come on England!

Huge respect for @RachelReevesMP for having the courage to show emotional vulnerability in public. I’ve listened to at least two podcasts since where they’ve essentially gossiped and shamed her for doing so. Clear there’s a long way to go when discussing mental health & wellbeing
I’m going to open a food events business in Runnymede and call it Magna Catering.

Wonderful anniversary episode of @HistoryHit on Waterloo. Make sure you listen all the way to the end as the coda with @thehistoryguy and Dad is brilliant. Congratulations on 10 years!
Posing a question that I've definitely asked before, but need some more help! For History GCSE classes, what is your approach to homework? Looking for a consistent/regular/accessible system that leverages progress whilst being workload manageable! All ideas welcome. Please share!
