Ok that's it I'm done here. I'll leave this account up to avoid it being eventually commandeered. but will not be posting/interacting.
Happy to share that our work from the @nmancuso_ lab is out in @NatureGenet! We developed SuShiE, a multiancestry fine-mapping method for molecular traits. doi.org/10.1038/s41588…

An additional year of education(due to policy change,no selection effects) not only raises the person's IQ, it increases the IQ of their offspring! Maybe @SashaGusevPosts's reading of Judd&Kievit is correct after all Edu->IQ Edu->SES->Child_brainsize->IQ link.springer.com/article/10.100…
The Cremieux lore drop from his sister is crazy work
Among the top 8 dumbest things I've ever seen
Patrick Collison says humanity has never cured a complex disease. Not cancer. Not Alzheimer’s. Not Type 1 diabetes. His Arc Institute is trying something new: Simulate biology with AI. Test interventions before touching the body. Build a virtual cell. Test hypotheses in code.…
In reality even geneticists on the hereditarian side like the Visscher group argued in recent papers that twin studies overestimate h2. All the statistical geneticists I talked to(tbh I only talekd to a few dozen, not a few hundred) seem to think twin studies are not very good
Serious geneticists can only be found on crems discord server apparently
Sasha, every serious geneticist I’ve spoken with has had very unkind things to say about your methodology science is supposed to be about asking good faith questions and being open to accepting whatever answers the data yields that is not what you do

I see these two guys ( @aryehazan , @JDHaltigan ) constantly debasing themselves on here for groyper likes. Is this some kind of false flag operation to make academia look bad? We've got enough problems as it is!
Hereditarians often argue that education doesn't affect intelligence. Common arguments include: "it's not on g" “It’s not additive” "It's overestimated" "education only works for smart kids(matthew effect)" In this 🧵, I'll address all of these points: x.com/notcomplex_/st…
Education doesn't raise intelligence Here's how it works 🧵
The fact that education increases intelligence is one of the most heretical ideas one can post on X and the response is fascinating. Below is a verbatim quote from the largest meta-analysis to date; the author literally wrote a book on intelligence. Let's see how people take it:
Education is "the most consistent, robust, and durable method yet to be identified for raising intelligence" (journals.sagepub.com/doi/abs/10.117…), as has been demonstrated with a multitude of study designs, genetic/non-genetic analyses, and even lifelong data.
If that’s what they do to a United States Senator with a question, imagine what they do to farm workers, day laborers, cooks, and the other nonviolent immigrants they are targeting in California and across the country. Or any American that dares to speak up. I will not stop…
This assault is not only on @SenAlexPadilla, but on freedom of speech and expression in our country. These actions taken by Trump’s DHS communicates a message to all Americans that none of us is safe.
Senator Padilla is forcibly shoved out of Kristi Noem's press briefing: "I'm Senator Alex Padilla. I have questions for the Secretary"
Yarvin, who begs any reporter that will listen to debate racism with him, immediately throws in the towel on trying to actually understand genetics and shifts to vague grumbling. In fact the environmental explanation is simple: x.com/curtis_yarvin/…
TLDR Dr. Gusev can’t tell us what the “environmental factors” are either. Personally I like Buffon’s theory. It’s the climate. Also responsible for the skin color thing obviously
Fuck em up, Sasha
We've now gone through the three stages of online hereditarian discourse: 1. "I bet you can't explain genetics" 2. "I don't actually care about genetics, I bet you can't explain environments" 3. "Actually, I just want to repeat myself" x.com/curtis_yarvin/…
These guys want you to think that they have access to the forbidden samizdat that explains how the world works. In reality, they just have the grit and shamelessness to make the same erroneous claims over and over again until everyone else is worn down.
Racism twitter has taken to arguing that observed racial differences must be "in part" explained by genetic differences, though they demure on how much. Not only is this claim aggressively misleading, it is completely unsupported by data. A 🧵:
It was the best of times, it was the blurst of times!?
Large language models “are not emotionally intelligent or ‘smart’ in any meaningful or recognizably human sense of the word,” @Tyler_A_Harper writes. Understanding this is essential to avoiding AI’s most corrosive effects: theatlantic.com/culture/archiv…
I wrote about AI, which is a scam.
