I have my friend 3 advance options for parking so I wouldn’t get dramatic stressed phone calls when he’s late. He’s late & I just got called asking if he can park on double yellow lines. I can’t even drive. Why are people like this? 😫

This is phenomenal. Whoever convinced the board “No seriously, this is how you play it” is an all star I want to know: -Who was the agency that pitched it? -Was the board all in or did it take work? -Did they already have Coldplay Ex-wife Paltrow onboard when they pitched?
Thank you for your interest in Astronomer.
I honestly have no idea what I can do about Gaza. I feel so powerless.
Interesting paper that aligns with the #ChildFirst evidence base about the criminogenic effects of justice system contact in childhood, even if the paper describes correlation not causation.
New paper uses the Millennium Cohort Study to look at factors associated with police contact at age 14, and the association between that contact and outcomes at 17.
Something I've been reflecting on recently: I worry that an emphasis on places (e.g. hotspot policing) over people (those causing the greatest harm) may be a driver of disproportionality and especially 'false positive' contact between policing and the public.

As soon as I hear a person say “females” when referring to women, I tune out the rest of the conversation.

An important read for anyone interested in #ChildFirst ⤵️
Link here to the paper in the Probation Journal (free to read): @burnssam92 “The Achilles heel of Child First: High-risk panels in youth justice service policy and practice” journals.sagepub.com/doi/10.1177/02… Thanks so much, @nickyjanehill. Be nice to catch up soon and discuss further.
Been working really hard since November to lose weight but have found it so hard to exercise due to joint injury & pain. Recommitted today & just did a full body mobility session using the great @VersusArthritis YouTube Moving with Leon series. Feeling great. Highly recommend!
Really enjoyed the lunchtime webinar on high risk panels and #ChildFirst with @sfcreaney, Sam Burns & Michael O’Connor. Themes I’m grappling with daily & so hope this could be the start of some interesting & useful collaborative thinking!
I am so excited to see @FuseODG live next weekend. It’s not my heritage or culture but I’ve ordered the story of Sundiata book & can’t wait to learn more. This song is just 🔥🔥🔥& the power and pride makes me joyful.
Fuse ODG is back with Sundiata—a powerful anthem that blends bold rhythms with ancestral pride. Teaming up with spoken word artist Suli Breaks, Fuse delivers a track that’s more than music. Get the PAL album at panafricanlifestyle.com 🎥 @FuseODG & CJ 3 Visuals
I’m a CSA survivor, and as far as I can see, if you’re *only* exercised and angry about child abuse when the perpetrators are asylum seekers, then I can only conclude that there is a another, different, primary motivation which is much more akin to racism than the safety of kids.

I’ve just put my expensive sheepskin rug in the washing machine. I’m either going to be really happy or devastated in 90 minutes.
Something I’ve got way more militant about as I’ve got older is my intolerance of affairs. I won’t have them or collude in them. Just be a grown up & end your relationship. Heard someone say never do business with a cheater as if they’ve got no loyalty to their life partner you…
