Excited to share our new work in Molecular Neurodegeneration, showing that α-synuclein co-pathology is common in Alzheimer’s and accelerates amyloid-related tau accumulation, supporting its role as a tau co-aggregation factor. doi.org/10.1186/s13024…
Congrats Hamilton, very happy to be part of this great work!
I am excited to present our new study out in @NatureMedicine where we discover a novel synaptic protein biomarker to predict if and when someone will get Alzheimer’s disease dementia. Part 2/3 from my PhD work in the @wysscoray lab. 🧵1/12 Full study 🔗: nature.com/articles/s4159…
1/3: Whether you are in Toronto to attend #AAIC25 or visiting the birthplace of Neil Young and Drake – make sure to not miss our Symposium on “Network alterations and aberrant neuronal activity in Alzheimer's disease” on Wed., July 30, 2:00 PM
1/11 Excited to share our @Naturestudy led by @Leon_Oo1 @csabaorban @ZShaoshi doi.org/10.1038/s41586… It is well-known that AI performance scales with logarithm of sample size (Kaplan, McCandlish 2020), but in many domains, sample size can be # participants or # measurements...
How does the brain reorganize in the context of age and AD? Are functional changes in age and AD similar? Are these changes dynamic across the age/AD spectrum? We unpack these questions in a sample of N=973 with AD biomarkers Preprint: tinyurl.com/ymv8s7h8 1/ ⬇️🧵
Open #Postdoc position @isd_research @LMU_Muenchen to develop an #iPSC-derived #BBB model. Fully funded and embedded in our international @FondationLeducq Network of Excellence brenda-leducq.de. Experience in vascular biology or related field required. Please RT and apply!
Highly recommended PhD opportunity! Great supervisor, great datasets, very innovative methods and tools to understand the complex mechanisms of AD. Downside: you need to be really smart to understand all their work ;)
‼️PhD Position now available in my lab‼️ Do you like: * Neurodegenerative disease? * Neuroimaging and/or multi-omics? * AI and data-driven life science? Want to work with @RikOssenkoppele Alexandra Young and Laura Wisse? Apply here: lu.varbi.com/what:job/jobID… Please rt/share 🙏
RT appreciated: We have a fully funded PhD position in @CompNeuro_lab (at TU Dresden). You can use forms.gle/qiAv5NZ871kvQ1… to send your application and find more information. The deadline is April 30. Find more about CMC lab: cmclab.org and email me if you have Qs.
The #tidyplots paper is now published in @iMetaScience 🎉🥳🔥 Whenever you use tidyplots in your published work, consider citing doi.org/10.1002/imt2.7… 🙏 #rstats #dataviz #phd

Why academia is sleepwalking into self-destruction. My editorial @Brain1878 If you agree with the sentiments please RT. It's important for all our sakes to stop the madness academic.oup.com/brain/issue/14…
Quite sad to re read this after only a few months. Meanwhile the US government is actively eliminating scientific freedom and publicly bullying leaders of a country attacked by a ruthless aggressor…didn’t expect things to go so wrong… #idiocracy happening…
For my fellow US-based researchers: Europe is a very nice place to work, where our leaders aren't orange and don't promote cage fights among immigrants...Sounds interesting?...Come work with us!
The X algorithm is insane. I am not following any political account but my timeline is full of extreme right wing bullshit posts from people I have never heard of. This is Elon musks influence on the German elections. It is incredible how this Bond villain manipulates the media
