gen z is so profoundly antisocial and lonely. i have witnessed firsthand people being uncomfortable with their roommate's partner sleeping over--which is, i must stress, an extremely normal and important part of being in a relationship.

It is SO refreshing to hear a committed husband and father saying of his marriage with his (pregnant) doctor wife, “We're big believers in having it all.” I used to think “having it all” was fake, and maybe it is, but I find it far preferable to the alternative of anti-work…
“I guess this is the first time I’m saying this publicly…” We’re thrilled to share that @VivekGRamaswamy and his wife, Apoorva, are expecting their third child early next year! She’s one of the top throat surgeons in the world. He’s running for governor. And together, they’re…
IMO, it's not shocking: with marriage no longer expected of young people, the people who do choose marriage today are more likely to go into it with a sense of purpose and certainty.
It looks like new marriages are (shockingly) stronger than in past decades. 🧵
One of the keys to Houston’s success is a respect for old-school practices over trendy fads When I interviewed Superintendent Miles for @CityJournal, he stood by Direct Instruction, a proven teaching method for at-risk students that many teachers dismiss as “authoritarian”
Nearly everyone has given up on urban K-12 reform. Politicians no longer talk about it. There's but one city, Houston, attempting wholesale reform and early results are incredibly promising. Cities from across the US are starting to pay attention. In 2023, after years of falling…
HUGE WIN at the 9th Circuit for our client Jessica Bates! This widowed Oregon mom was categorically barred from adopting a foster child—regardless of the child’s age or beliefs—because she wouldn’t promise to affirm gender ideology. The 9th Circuit ruled that Oregon’s policy…
Sorry but “what do you do” is an American small talk classic. People spend most of their waking lives at work and usually like talking about that, even if only to complain. Theres an emerging narrative that people only this question if they’re social climbers but that’s BS
Here’s a really good networking tip for you guys: when you’re at a party or summer event and meet someone new, the very first question you should ask is ‘what they do’ so you can figure out if they’re worth talking to or not
Over 30% of the “experts” who created the American Academy of Pediatrics guidance recommending Ozempic as a first-line defense for 12-year-olds were being paid by @novonordisk or @EliLillyandCo
I knew someone in high school who was 75% White and 25% Indo-Guyanese. Had a Hindu surname. Looked like a tan White woman. Only Indo-Guyanese influence was chicken curry and channa masala were go to recipes in her home. Many more like her on the way.
Exactly this. Actually, I think Girls was really insightful about exactly this. And Lena Dunham didn’t get enough credit for that because of all the other ways she’s crazy.
The problem I've noticed in these circles is that what these women viscerally want (a masculine man who makes them feel like a woman) is very different from what they say they want (a man who is completely egalitarian, goes to therapy, etc.). So then these women wind up…
So much of this stuff is just that men have started getting really good at using feminine 'violence' -- the only kind you're really allowed to use nowadays -- and feminism set up this idea that you literally could not challenge these types of statements "anxiety".

1/2 Thousands of words. I read this so you don’t have to. tl;dr is that in a certain social milieu men have become skittish and disinterested and women are frustrated because they don’t know how/ aren’t able to lure them back in.
i just found out that there were more photos of hillary clinton in that apartment and they’re just as funny
You were born exactly when and where God wanted you born. You weren’t meant to live in the antebellum South or Merry Old England. You are here and now for good reason.
If I could give women a single piece of dating advice it would be that requiring men to be embarrassed and apologetic about their masculinity up front is a way to filter out all psychologically healthy men and select exclusively for weasels.
My house caught on fire when I was like 12 on vacation and I remember my dad getting the call, listening, hanging up then telling me and fam and saying “i guess we better enjoy the rest of this vacation!” Incredible power move, massive impact on my life. Still grateful
Not disagreeing, shit is hard but I always think of that tweet that was like there’s a world of a difference between people who grew up with parents who just handled things vs parents who treated every inconvenience as a tragedy because it rewired my brain 💀
I grew up reading “boy” books and watching movies/TV with primarily white protagonists but I didn’t struggle to relate to them, and I think it’s probably counterproductive on a societal level to conceptualize yourself as inherently different from other people due to race
Maybe it’s just me, maybe it’s because I’m a Black Woman, but this movie didn’t hit that deeply for me. Felt like it was mainly a movie for white women idk.
Would recommend that everyone give @neerajadeshp's blog a follow

i wake up. something’s wrong with the clock on the wall. the numbers are jumbled. my hands aren’t right. i tell my wife. she responds: “that’s not just an observation—it’s a powerful insight.” i scream.
This hoax is why you don’t just believe “family accounts.” Especially not in legal matters.
🚨 BREAKING: ICE secretly deported Luis Leon, an 82-year-old torture survivor and U.S. legal resident of nearly 40 years, after he walked into an immigration office to replace a lost green card. Instead of processing the request, ICE handcuffed him, detained his wife for 10…
