The trade union movement must keep the pressure up on the government so that they recognise Palestine now, stop sending arms to Israel etc.
We are holding the NEC at Redhills Miners centre. Deep labour history here.

Despite the hype, the government has offered nothing of substance. In those circumstances it is a reasonable thing for the doctors to take strike action.
.@Melissa_S_Ryan from @BMAResidents explains the govt is refusing to make an offer on pay, refusing to make on offer on pay restoration & refusing to make an offer on a non pay package Thats why resident doctors are being forced to go on strike. Solidarity with resident doctors.
Public ownership is the only viable way forward Labour are refusing to do this for ideological reasons. They rather keep it private, even though they know that the companies will continue to game the system and use our money for further financial engineering.
😡Steve Reed banned the Water Commission Report from exploring public ownership in England. 🤣He says it's too expensive. But the £100bn figure comes from a 2018 report funded by the water industry. We say that it's nonsense, & the experts agree. Watch this video to find out why
John Hendy's amendment to the Employment Rights Bill to legalise solidarity action returns to the Lords on Wednesday. Five unions have issued this statement in support of it (it was also backed by PCS). The whole labour movt must support this demand. See freeourunions.org/2025/07/19/joh…
Labour and of course the SNP must intervene urgently. Much can still be salvaged, even at this late stage.
Our campaign continues for @GrangemouthJobs .....

The Guardian is running a stream of articles criticising the BMA and the Resident Doctor strikes. The Guardian approves of unions as a concept but like most liberals disapproves of them being active and combative - and of course effective.

“All we are seeking is a reversal of pay cuts. We want that to be relatively speedy and we want that to be a reasonable journey, just like @wesstreeting promised us last year.” @ERunswickBMA speaks to @LBC about resident doctors’ pay dispute with government👇
Your periodic reminder that the Deputy Prime Minister refuses to meet the PCS in her department.
