More potential Medicaid fraud on Gov. Walz's watch

Total waste of money. Gov. Walz has a legal team and an AG. He has a comms team. He has an office full of staff and a team of agency experts. He was in congress for 12 years. Yet he still hired expensive outside lawyers and stuck taxpayers with the bill.

Careless vetting and prioritizing DEI over actual qualifications are harmful to the integrity of state government.

My statement on the attacks overnight:

Remember: every budget challenge MN faces right now is a result of the Democrats' awful, reckless governing in 2023 & 2024. They blew through an $18 billion surplus, increased spending 40%, raised taxes $10 billion, and left us facing a $6 billion deficit. Utterly irresponsible

As if the cuts to nursing homes weren't bad enough, the Human Services budget increases taxes on nursing home residents. It is a tax hike that will impoverish seniors.

We successfully ended taxpayer-funded MNCare for illegal immigrant adults. With a $6b deficit on the horizon and cuts to nursing homes, disability services, and special ed on the table, we can't prioritize benefits for illegal immigrants over our most vulnerable citizens.

The number of illegal immigrants enrolling in taxpayer-funded healthcare skyrocketed far beyond what they told us. These numbers are from April -- imagine how high they are now. One of the few wins from this budget will be removing illegal immigrant adults from this program.

Democrats didn’t show up for work for 3 weeks at the start of session. Now, Special session will be 3 weeks after the end of regular session. Hmm. In the meantime since regular session, Walz did much of these deals behind closed doors. #mnleg
