Sen. Andrew Mathews
@AndrewMathewsMN
Minnesota State Senator from Senate District 27
5 months ago DFL leaders taught their members that responsible governing was refusing to show up to work if they didn’t get their way. It should come as no surprise that their legislators will hold state government hostage if their demands aren’t met - complete leadership failure
DEVELOPING: This was the scene after Gov. Walz budget news conference with legislative leaders. Most of these protesters who disrupted the news conference are DFL lawmakers upset about a compromise on illegal immigrant health care that cuts off access to state program by adults.
RIP ✝️🙏
A single red rose rests at Senator Bruce Anderson’s desk, honoring his dedicated service and enduring legacy. He served Minnesota with quiet strength, deep humility, and unwavering values rooted in faith and community. We mourn his loss and pray for his family and loved ones.
I’m very saddened to hear of the passing of my friend and colleague Sen. Bruce Anderson. He personified quiet strength. He was a strong believer and man of faith, a family man, a veteran, and he represented his district very well. Praying for his entire family. ✝️🙏

Wonderful news! Praise the Lord for answered prayers! 🙏
UPDATE: Sen. John Hoffman texted me tonight and says “I just got out of icu and am in transitional care.” Great news and a remarkable story of survival for John and his wife Yvette. 🙏💪
Thank you Lord Jesus. Answered prayers.
BREAKING: Law enforcement appears to have assassin suspect Vance Boelter in custody in a field in Sibley County. According to radio traffic, he was tracked into the woods. When a drone flew overhead he put his hands in the air and walked toward officers in a SWAT vehicle.
Given the targeted shootings of state lawmakers overnight, we are asking the public to not attend today’s planned demonstrations across Minnesota out of an abundance of caution.
Pray for Senator Hoffman and Speaker Emerita Hortman.
Democrats didn’t show up for work for 3 weeks at the start of session. Now, Special session will be 3 weeks after the end of regular session. Hmm. In the meantime since regular session, Walz did much of these deals behind closed doors. #mnleg
On this night five years ago, the Minneapolis 3rd Police Precinct was overrun and burned by leftist rioters. Mayor Jacob Frey had requested the Minnesota National Guard the previous night, but Tim Walz never activated them. This is Tim Walz’s legacy.
Me watching the #Timberwolves up 41 in the 3rd quarter 🤣
My statement in response to today’s news of Amazon’s announcement about suspending the proposed data center project in my district in Becker.

If by “get the work done” you mean democrats throwing everything into a 1500-page garbage omnibus bill in the last 30 minutes of session, and ramming it through then yeah you did that. Thankfully, the tied House stopped the democrats from doing it again this year.
It’s worth stating that of the last eight budgets, the only times the GOP didn’t need a special session were when DFLers were running the show. Dems get the work DONE. Remember - there is nothing special about a special session. #mnleg @mnhouseDFL
Minnesotans didn’t buy this excuse in January, they sure won’t be buying it now.
MN GOP is trying to paint a picture of Dems eating bon bons while GOP reps were “working hard” at the Capitol. The reality? Republicans staged an illegal takeover, held sham hearings, forced the Supreme Court to intervene, and wasted time, state resources & your money. #mnleg
Liberal Goes Back In Time To Fix The 2nd Amendment
Minnesota democrats sure are racking up the frequent flyer miles on @libsoftiktok
Democrats in Minnesota are saying they will fight "until the very end" to provide taxpayer-funded state healthcare for ILLEGALS. Unreal. Democrats prioritize illegals over Americans.
Someone please identify who was pounding on the door ASAP
