No more politics, the jury has spoken - guilty. Time to finally do the right thing on behalf of Minnesota so we can move on and focus on the work of the people. There should be an immediate resignation. If not, our colleagues need to join us on another vote to expel.

Empathy isn’t weakness Civility isn’t surrender Blame isn’t healing The past isn’t an excuse We can find common ground among disagreement. We can be united by a sense of duty, service, & decency - if we choose. It’s possible - the future is ours to write….our kids are watching.
We have to stop being quicker to assign blame than we are to offer condolences. Intentionally politicizing violence by irresponsibly fanning the flames with incendiary rhetoric & misinformation is self-serving, dishonorable, & unforgivable. Instead, show respect & basic decency.
Huge thanks to the amazing men & women of our law enforcement agencies in Minnesota & their Federal partners. Safely tracking down & apprehending the shooter is a major relief for our communities. Not the preferred way to spend their Father’s Day, but immensely impactful. 🙏

There are no Democrats or Republicans today, only fellow Minnesotans. This is a time for grace, mourning, and unity. The person responsible for these acts of violence is the source of our anger and frustration - not one another. Be kind to your neighbors, we’re in this together.
As more devastating details come to light - it’s clear that proactive & fast acting law enforcement officers likely prevented more violence. So many protective & security measures quietly put in place while Minnesota legislators & their loved ones were sound asleep. Thank you. 🙏
Unbelievably sad news. Praying for the Hoffman & Hortman families. Our hearts go out to their loved ones, colleagues, & constituents. Politics is a place for debate, disagreement, & collaboration - never violence. Please keep John, Melissa, & their families in your prayers.🙏
Simply reporting misinformation occurred rather than owning your role in spreading it & failing to apologize is a massive cop-out. The state’s largest newspaper knows better & should attempt to salvage some credibility by actually apologizing, not glossing over their role in it.
Dear @StarTribune and @grove can't you say that you were the biggest spreader of misinformation in this case? Your article buries your accountability. Your readers - a large audience is bigger than texts or Reddit. Say it directly - "we made a major mistake - we are sorry"
