complaining about your spouse is so low status. you’re basically advertising that you couldn’t land a partner who meets your standards. wife guys won at life and they’ll happily let you know it.
Every time I go to the beach and have to listen to garbage people playing music on Bluetooth speakers I research signal jammers as a fantasy. But c’mon… They’re super, super illegal. It’s a nice fantasy, but they’re illegal for good reason.
No need to take smartphones from kids in schools. Just put signal jammers in every school so NOBODY can use their phones until they’re outside. Teachers and staff can go out to use theirs at Will. Kids can use at recess. Problem solved.
This idea of interceptors is great and there should be a first class way of doing this in @OpenCode_AI
This is how I currently encourage Claude to run the tools I want. Is it perfect? No. Do I wish this could be done wit hooks? Yes. Do I wish it was not necessary to begin with? Also yes. But this is pretty pragmatic and does work.
It’s hard to keep this in mind because when pattern matching is working, it masquerades as knowledge *extremely well*
I cant get over the fact that so many engineers still dont grok the fundamentals of what an LLM is. Repeat after me: its just pattern matching, it doesnt "know" anything
1. Nothing is demanded of us. Done with shitty drivers, but not yet confronted with household duties. We just need a minute. 2. The home is a sacred space. Sitting in the car is an airlock. You pause to let the pressure equalize so you don’t take the outside nonsense inside.
Why do men stay in the car for minutes after arriving home?
The people designing cars with e-brakes that are like, a button by the driver’s knee… never had to teach a teen to drive. Gotta be a central hand brake.
No it doesn't work and we shouldn't accept it This is exactly how you go from a high trust society to a low trust society
Its just bit chaotic but somehow it works and people move on. Just like if you drive in countries with crazy traffic. Not everything in the world can be solved with logic. Somethings just have to be accepted as the way they are.
Guy who buys a farm so that he can wear Carhartt stuff without doing a stolen valor
If you see this and think that they’re selling dollars for 96¢, hit me up. I will beat that price. I will sell you as many 2028 dollars for 95¢ as you want.
Zohran Mamdani cannot legally be a Presidential Nominee since he was not born in America You can buy dollars for $0.96c
The idea that a giant swath of the country has consistently called lemon-lime soda “Coke” is a myth. I’ve heard this myth repeated my whole life, but never heard a single person call a Sprite “Coke”.
Our victory is nearly complete
I am not yet a type-everything-maximalist but I am a separate window maximalist.
"I use AI in a separate window. I don't enjoy Cursor or Windsurf, I can literally feel competence draining out of my fingers." @dhh, the legendary programmer and creator of Ruby on Rails has the most beautiful and philosophical idea about what AI takes away from programmers.
"Ruby is a luxury language" This is such good framing by @dhh. youtube.com/watch?v=vagyIc…
Imagine if Wile E. Coyote had a YouTube channel where he went through his design and build process. I’d watch the hell out of that.
We should force trains to travel on predetermined paths so people know where they shouldn’t park their car or stand.
Brightline officials say those who were hit are at fault. But that doesn't tell the full story. Speed, frequent crossings, quiet zones and a route through dense neighborhoods set it apart. There is little fencing. Local governments have resisted closing dangerous crossings.
is a “mid six figures” salary $133k to $167k, or $400k to $700k?
This should remain legal. If you agree to a one-year contract, you should expect to pay all (or at least a large portion) of your remaining obligation if you want out of the contract early. If you don’t want that, choose the higher month-to-month rate when you sign up!
This should be illegal.
Dang. The viral “lore” tweet was copied from someone else who posted it last year
