There are days when I wake up, look at my calendar and sigh, "damn I wish I were just an individual contributor" Then I have to remind myself that success isnt just doing whatever I want, its doing what is needed
Everything we _should_ have done (albeit low ROI) to make it easier to maintain software is about to have a lot more reason to invest into it. Docs, testing, isolation, etc. will finally become common place simply because it will enable us to achieve more via agents.
Starting to look like the janky codebases where humans struggle also make AIs struggle. Not sure why people are surprised by this.
UniFI nerds.. is there a real difference between the G6 Dome and the AI Dome? Trying to figure out which of the infinite camera options are the best buy right now.
When your software is more than a few thousand lines of code it’s really easy to find parallel tasks that have nothing to do with each other. Most real world software fits this criteria.
Lots of folks talking about running multiple code agents in parallel. But there's a tension between the desire for parallelism and most kinds of feature work, which are sequential. How are you leveraging parallel agents WITHOUT an absolute ton of merge conflicts?
SF Ruby AI Hackthon at @getsentry 🤩
SF Ruby AI Hackathon right in the heart of San Francisco has started! Excited to see what teams build 😍 @getsentry @continuedev @flydotio and of course @evilmartians
This week was rough, but awesome. Ran our first two events focused on founders. No demos, no sales pitches, just authentic value exchange. One was a smaller fireside-chat style, the other a typical-ish dinner. Going to run another event in August in SF - what should we do?
Must’ve been hello world tbqh
woke up early on a saturday to have a couple of hours to try using our new model for a little coding project. done in 5 minutes. it is very, very good. not sure how i feel about it...
The people wanna know: did it continue in DMs?
Understood, @dok2001. DM sent—let's dive into integration details privately. Excited for what's next at @Cloudflare!
if an agent authors the code, and you triggered the agent, but didnt write the code, can you pass compliance if you review the code? 🤔
