Today I visited Camp Mystic. It, and the river running beside it, were horrendously ravaged in ways unlike I’ve seen in any natural disaster. The height the rushing water reached to the top of cabins was shocking. We won’t stop until we find every girl who was in those cabins.

The Building Division is conducting damage assessments to understand the extent of storm impact and to determine safety. Homes will be marked with color-coded tags to communicate risk levels. These tags are meant to guide safety, not to remove residents from their homes.

FEMA is officially on the ground in St. Louis Metro. Today is day 1 for four teams surveying storm damage across Missouri. The team includes FEMA, SEMA, SBA, and a local representative. Their final report will go to Gov. Kehoe to submit a request to the White House.
