I’ll never forget these. Once a year for a handful of years in grade school, my brother and I would get to have one of these as a treat because we did the Book It club. Pizza Hut would give them out free if you read a bunch of books.
Remember when Pizza Hut pan pizzas were basically a goddamn culinary delicacy? They’d bring them out in a real fucking skillet that was piping at about 700 degrees Fahrenheit right as your third song kicked in on the jukebox after you’d played a game of Galaga. We were kings.
Absolutely. The best way to disguise evil en masse is to proclaim that you are steadfastly and absolutely committed to being compassionate no matter what. It's the *perfect* disguise for propagating evil. Be skeptical of those who claim that they are endlessly compassionate.
The very worst form of evil is when the people committing the evil acts convince themselves they are actually working for good.
I rarely do real estate tweets, but here's a good reminder for the day: CoStar absolutely sucks and is an awful organization who scams their clients. Never do business with CoStar.
This has been one of the most entertaining days on X in recent memory. The Coldplay memes have been absolutely hilarious.
Yes.
every time i’m imessaging someone esp if they’re across the world it still feels insane to me. you don’t even feel the tech. zero lag, zero friction. just pure presence. type. read. respond. repeat. we built this invisible instant layer that makes global telepathy feel mundane.…
It’s a beautiful day to be outside in Chicago. Going for a long walk and taking in the weather.

12:01am on Friday morning. Lightning hitting both Sears Tower and the Hancock Building in Chicago. #weather #news #ilwx #chicago #storm #lightning
Yawn. This has seemed like developer and municipal theatre since day one. Just let us know when you're going to build... something... anything... I won't hold my breath. The old Finkl site is going to be a bed of gravel for a while.
Skyscrapers no more: Lincoln Yards is planned to become a "walking neighborhood" with mostly residential construction, buildings no higher than 30 stories, tree-lined streets and even single-family homes, co-developers JDL and Kayne Anderson say. trib.al/K1yNgGA
Very cool.
In 1970, Xerox was riding high off its photocopier monopoly. To stay ahead, it launched PARC (Palo Alto Research Center), a research lab with one job: “Invent the future of information.” And they did more than anyone in history 🧵
Downtown Chicago, from the Webster Avenue bridge. Gorgeous summer day and look at that skyline! 😍

This hardware store in my neighborhood recently closed. It was literally open before Al Capone was in charge of the underworld and before John Dillinger was shot a block away in an alley. It was the type of place two old guys sold obscure parts and knew where everything was.

Lately I’ve gotten better pricing on some of my bills by simply calling up and asking. T. Mobile for my home internet, ATT for my cell, garbage and Comcast at work, car insurance, etc. Highly underrated hack.
when the sears tower (tallest building on earth from the 70s-90s) was under construction, its basement was allegedly built to connect to a new subway station and line that were never finished. you can find some plans of it online but i need to find out if anything’s still there
Great addition to the neighborhood and an awesome build out.
The interior of the new Small Cheval on Halsted is pretty cool. Makes eating burgers that much better. @SmallCheval
Yes. A triple espresso and I'm done after a short while.
I get my best sleep right after a Red Bull.
Arguably the best lunch in the Chicago suburbs.
No trip to the North Shore suburbs is complete without a stop at the @PitaInn. A Chicagoland legend. GOATed.
This is awesome. Welcome back to Chicago, Sammy Sosa. I can only imagine what the fanfare will be like today at the Friendly Confines.
Sammy Sosa, who hasn’t been to Wrigley Field since he left the Cubs 21 years ago, is expected to return today after arriving in Chicago last night
