OK, so after reading a thread on a taxonomist using ChatGPT, I wondered if this could be applied to university data governance… A thread 🧵
I will just tell people something that should be really obvious to them. Once they start charging for the NHS soon there won't be any NHS. Everything will cost a fortune.
There is no moral difference between telling people they can have shower so you can gas them in gas chambers and telling people they can have food so you can shoot them at aid sites. A holocaust is happening right before our eyes and the world is silent.
The University of Edinburgh has published a review into historic links to slavery and colonialism following four years of research, and issued an apology. news.stv.tv/east-central/u…
BBC justified Farage airtime based on polling figures. Get ready for all that coverage of the new left wing party!
When this guy was asked why he supports Jeremy Corbyn he hit the nail on the head. “The people currently elected are very much for the wealthy, but Jeremy Corbyn looks at it and says, well what about everyone else.”🎯 #YourParty
We’ve promised this new role to an internal candidate but let’s get 400 people to request 3 letters of recommendation just in case
Nationwide CEO £7m pay package declared ‘obscenity’ during AGM. Members still approved it, probably by erroneously handing proxy votes to chairman. Govts tell workers wage rises are inflationary; do nothing to control exec pay, dividends, share buybacks. theguardian.com/business/2025/…
The children of Gaza are starving. Not because the world couldn’t help, but because the world refused to help.
Every editor who canceled a story about Palestine brought us here. Every boss who censored an employee. Everyone who said “not this way” to protesters. Every university admin calling the cops. Bloody. All your hands are bloody, and we will never forget.
If your pay fell behind everyone else's by this much, would you strike? I support @BMA resident doctors, forced to take strike action this week.
The House of Lords gives peers £342 a day just for clocking on. A 10-hour shift as a resident doctor pays just £175.
It's rampant. I'm no manager, but it seems to me that UK HE managment class is so divorced from their staff and what they do that they are unable to see the damage they are doing to their institutions. SMTs are overrun by overpromoted incompetents and aided by weak governance🤔
This is happening at UCL now too :(
It is James 'Jamie' Thompson's birthday this week. James was last seen in #Dublin, #Eire, on 8 March 1994. He was 20 at the time. We have his loved ones in our thoughts at this time. #findJamesThompson misspl.co/bKt350WrPX5
I worked for the same company for over 30 yrs. I thought loyalty was important until I was laid off. There is no loyalty in the workplace. You’re important to them until they don’t need you. Always do what’s best for you. Don’t ever let your job define you. You’re so much better
The situation in Gaza is indeed ´indefensible', Sir Keir. But my Mam taught me to watch what politicians do, not what they say. So why haven't we recognised Palestine and taken immediate &effective action against the Israeli State? Without action, words are empty vessels
There is no moral high ground for those who watched a genocide unfold and called it “Israel’s right.” Tory. Labour. Reform. You own this. You’ll answer to history.
