Today - along with other rebels - I got an email from Party Authorities telling me I voted in Parliament against the Govts welfare reforms 6 times in one day. I don't repent my votes. I was elected on a pledge to stand by working class electors and above all the poorest.

The inquiry into the events at Orgreave is long over due. I pay tribute to the dedicated campaigners at @orgreavejustice for making this happen. I have called on the government to ensure the inquiry can pursue the trail of evidence wherever it leads.

It is right that these revelations are investigated. We need a total clampdown on private lobbying. Profiteers should not be allowed to use their connections to influence government policy. Government should serve the people, not large corporations or the wealthy.
