My vision for the ultimate AGI interface is a blank canvas. The one that evolves, self-morphs over time with human preferences and invents novel ways of interacting with humans, redefining our relationship with AI technology and the entire Internet. But here are some of the…
I always thought that we are hitting data wall because we’re constraining ourselves to the current internet paradigm and not inventing products that will enable novel data generation engines. A truly new internet should enable richer interactions and network effects we can’t…
Why you should stop working on RL research and instead work on product // The technology that unlocked the big scaling shift in AI is the internet, not transformers I think it's well known that data is the most important thing in AI, and also that researchers choose not to work…
We've partnered with Modular to create Large Scale Inference (LSI), a new OpenAI-compatible inference service. It's up to 85% cheaper than other offerings & can handle trillion-token scale. We originally created it at the request of a major AI lab to do large scale multimodal…
when you can quickly implement and test ideas, you learn faster. when you learn faster, your intuition improves. when your intuition improves, you choose better experiments. when you choose better experiments, you get better and more interesting results. when you get better…
design experiments that give you maximum learning per unit time
I recently had a stint as a systems engineer. We built our own VM hypervisor otterlink for 10x faster startup and 200x faster snapshots (compared to EC2). One cool part was building a custom file format Blockdiff for VM disk snapshots. Sharing more in our blogpost below:
We needed instant VM snapshots for Devin but EC2 took 30+ minutes. So, @silasalberti built blockdiff—a new file format that makes snapshots 200x faster. Today, we’re open-sourcing blockdiff & sharing how it works 🔗👇
claude 1 from oct’22 was the best model ever to talk to truth is the personality was always there — either suppressed by other pt data in 2 or further refined via character tuning in 3 (this is from a beta preview for early users)

Canvas now supports downloads! If you're writing a doc, you can export it as a PDF, docx, or markdown. If you're using Canvas to write code, it will export directly to the appropriate file type (e.g. .py, .js, .sql, etc.).
You can now effortlessly export your canvases into multiple formats!

bill atkinson’s work has been a great inspiration of mine. he believed computing should serve as a canvas for human creativity, and he embodied this philosophy in HyperCard — making programming accessible, visual, and intuitive for everyone. i hope we honor that vision in how we…

The future belongs to people who are good at creating things, not people who are good at dividing them up.
Sky is a snappy MacOS personal superassistant that can handle tasks with native-level ease. Always impressed by how far Ari’s team is pushing macOS capabilities in ways no one could have done. Also I love this frutiger aero comeback!
Introducing Sky for Mac. Here's a 90-second sneak peek:
GenerativeOS is yet to be fully realized (prob. 2026/27?). It was ahead of its time, but I believe now is the time to build to its full potential because all the pieces are here and, most importantly, we can morph those pieces (fyi rl works) to dream real magic.
MercuryOS by @jasonyuandesign was ahead of its time. Prescient and timestamped!
Now imagine kicking off all sorts of tasks (incl. science experiments) via voice while on a hike and also intercepting model’s CoT if you get spontaneous ideas
Codex is now available in the ChatGPT iOS app! Start new tasks, view diffs, ask for changes, and even push PRs—all on the go. And you can keep tabs on Codex with live activities on your lock screen, or pick things up again when you're back at your computer. 🏃🤳
very excited to have a new kind of social network — one that is built on genuine connections and a very thoughtful design —and I have complete trust in this team to bring it to life. join @sjwhitmore @jasonyuandesign!
We’ve been working on something new. From a single Dot to a living network... Dots — the first Social Intelligence
If you’ve talked to me at all in the last year, you’ll know that designing a socially intelligent AI has become an obsession that tugs at the juicy intersections of philosophy, psychology, sociology, identity, love, loneliness, and what it means to be human. We’ve been building…
