I don't know exactly why certain faith-based groups (e.g. @ERLC @NAEvangelicals @WorldRelief) take a liberal position on immigration but it isn't sound biblical thinking. @amrenewctr Senior Fellow @NPinkoski proves why: americarenewing.com/immigration-fo…
Thanks to @erheakirk for her overview of parents, kids, and marriage under American law. And, as always, good to see friends like @DougRichey!
Enjoyed an evening with the @FedSoc KC Lawyers Chapter, listening to Professor Kirk discuss the current legal challenges to families and natural rights. It was made even better by bumping into my good friends @MikeWhitehead and @jrwhitehead.

Rogue ERLC Bands With Soros-Tied Group To Push Amnesty Bill thefederalist.com/2025/07/25/rog…
When Southern Baptists tell you to oppose amnesty, and you tell them you’ve outsmarted them with an absurdly narrow definition of “amnesty” that wouldn’t include past amnesties.
The ERLC has never supported amnesty and never will. The ERLC has consistently advocated for policies that reflect the will of SBC messengers who have, for over a decade, supported strong border security and other measures, including a pathway to legal status for those willing…
The biggest burden of being a “Jonathan” is having to stick up for those mealy apples.
For how much longer are we going to tolerate these monstrosities being advertised as “Red Delicious” apples? They are mushy, mealy, and tasteless. We don’t have to take this false advertising anymore, America. Enough is enough.
Oh, the State Department used government contracts with churches for political ends?
After @BaptistLeaders reports @SendRelief's Biden contracts, @TrevinWax argues for NAMB's church-state rule: "public resources can extend and amplify Baptist ministry." But BFM says: "the church should not resort to the civil power to carry on its work." baptistpress.com/resource-libra…
So @ERLC says "This is not amnesty, which requires nothing of those who receive the benefit." The 1986 amnesty required fees to get the amnesty. DACA had fees to get the amnesty. Every amnesty bill we’ve seen introduced has fees and, often, fines to get the amnesty. So they're…

What is wild to me is the @ERLC received 45% no confidence vote this year. Nearly half the messengers. For this exact thing. And yet they persist. It's like they are hellbent on getting over that 50% threshold.
My colleague @SpencerLndqst is reporting on Soros-tied backing for a bill to give amnesty to millions of illegal immigrants. Also supporting this bill, the @ERLC, as part of its partnership with the Soros-backed Evangelical Immigration Table. They have signed an open letter…
I’ve had plenty to say about the @ERLC. Now this. This organization must cut ties with the Evangelical Immigration Table. The EIT is (and has for years been) a front for activists who’ve championed reckless immigration policies—policies that have directly contributed to the chaos…
Just nine months ago, @ERLC staff promised that they would always ask these seven questions before taking actions. All seven of these questions counseled against signing this letter. But EIT called, and the letter was signed.
The @erlc letter to Congress says biblical convictions make the Dignity Act a "necessary reform." So, not only does the letter go beyond SBC resolutions, it suggests the bill is a necessary result of proper evangelical beliefs.

🚨 The @ERLC joins with the Soros-funded Evangelical Immigration Table to back yet another “bipartisan” amnesty bill for illegal aliens
I guess the board's "listening tour" is done. They just can't give up supporting bills that Southern Baptists have never addressed.

The problem with @senlankford's hire for "values action" is the hire's history of calling for values inaction. If you spent more time chiding Christians for seeking exemptions than questioning government's compulsion, that's values inaction. Would hate for the "Values…
To be clear, I am not trying to hurt Senator Lankford. I'm trying to help him, and elected representatives like him, who claim the mantle of "outspoken Christian" in public office but are pushing liberal bills and hiring liberal staffers, like Matthew Arbo. /7
A big law partner told me his case deserved my best hours, not the left over ones.
This is the reality of biglaw. It’s not uncommon to be working at 1am. But it is a rookie mistake to send the email at 1am. You draft it at 1; you send it no sooner than 7.
