Today's @EndChildPoverty report finds that: 🔴 Two thirds of the North East’s Parliamentary constituencies have a child poverty rate at or higher than the UK average. This compares with 42% of all constituencies across the UK.
In predominantly post-industrial towns and cities in the north of England and the Midlands, as well as coastal areas in the south-east, there is less access to opportunity, less social infrastructure and a much weaker third sector. This stuff is important.
