Maybe the solution to feeling better about my own parenting is just joining one of these groups.
My wife is in the University of Arkansas Facebook group for moms of incoming freshman. I convinced her to send me this screenshot, but there are so many more absolutely ridiculous questions like this. Some of these kids (and their moms) aren't going to make it. 😂
One more thing. If you have a family member who wants the farm but the Amazon warehouse offers you more than that family member could ever compete with and you still sell to Amazon you should go to jail 🥰
The child who wants the farm and has for years shown interest in farming should get the farm. The gender or birth order placement of this child should be irrelevant.
Something I don't like: a middle-aged mother gets her act together and attributes it to a sudden case of self-discipline, not her youngest child turning four or getting enough sleep or the gradual accumulation of experience finally flowering in phronesis.
My vegetable garden was so beautiful and bountiful last year and this year it’s hideous and all my tomatoes have blight. Sad.
told my 4yo we were having steak for dinner and she locked eyes with me and said I sure hope it’s red inside like I like it 😳
We’ve had such a good week so far at the fair and I need to share! My daughter got first in her age group for showmanship and then won grand champion of the junior division! She’s worked really hard with this steer and we’re so proud of her 🥹

I unironically think one of the worst things about today (and maybe this would even settle some of the commies down) is that rich men are no longer obliged to build beautiful, worthwhile things for their communities. Some do. But we no longer treat it as their duty
Carnegie built beautiful libraries across America. Rockefeller funded the restoration of Reims Cathedral.
Yall are dragging this. I’m not even saying this as an insult, she probably is undiagnosed and has autism. There is not ONE 10 year old that I know that would’ve reacted this way. They would see it as a (bad) joke and move on. And the girl knows her cat is always over there.
Have you considered you’re an adult and in her mind you can simply take her cat away if you wanted to so she’s scared? Why are you guys so mean to children?
I guess I hope my 13 year old will know some good stories and poems when she's marched off to the gulag in 10 years by people who say "book processing skills"
Sometimes you gotta stay up all night and well into the morning to finish a painting
It’s challenging to love a child that you have constant negative interactions with. You see their face and think “well here comes some bullshit”, and it becomes conditioning after a while.
can everyone please stop romanticizing our ancestors lives like it was such a whimsy life, i’m getting real tired of it. half their kids were dying of the things we get basic medical care for and the life expectancy was 56 and your great grandparents lived through two world wars
And frankly either are superior to treating them as surrogate children or wild beasts
Me letting someone into my home which has been messy every single day without exception in the 8+ years since I became a parent: "Sorry about the mess. It's been a crazy week."
I consider it bad form when people convert to something and then trash their former body. Especially if you were raised by or supported by people still around. They were probably kind to you. Returning that with scorn is crude.
Our county fair starts tomorrow and it’s our favorite week of the summer. Hogs go out tonight and steers tomorrow but right now we’re finishing up some of the projects.

They can never keep it straight. Are women the weaker vessel or just smaller men? Feminism bad, but girl get up and work the same day you pushed out a baby cause you’re a boss. You can do it. Ok. Dumb.
