This incessant pandering to "black communities" is toxic, divisive & insulting. My race lends me no more cultural kinship with Chris Kaba than Rowley's does with Fred West. There are only 2 communities the police should be interested in, those who commit crimes & those who don't.

The integration of cycling into London's public realm has been a disaster. Segregated cycle lanes are laudable but they should have stayed on the carriageway & never intruded on pavements. Instead of balancing all users' needs, pedestrian safety has been sacrificed for cyclists'.
This shows the chaotic & dangerous situation facing bus users at Westminster floating bus stop. The buses routinely drops off into the cycle lane. A rental e-bike rider collides into a child & another one crashes into the back of a cyclist. @MayorofLondon this is not safe at all.
At least France has the common sense to monetise its immorality & turn a profit from surrendering to terrorism. When Hermer eventually gives Starmer permission to recognise Palestine, Britain will likely end up paying billions to Hamas too.

If Starmer had any principles or resolve, defying these moronic calls would be a test of them. When he inevitably capitulates & Islamists attack the UK again, he should remember that rewarding terrorists turns them into lobbyists who use dead British civilians as their leverage.
Islamism's killed more people in France than anywhere else in Europe. Yet it's the 1st G7 nation to recognise Palestinian statehood & thereby reward the ideology that slaughtered hundreds in Paris & Nice. If the West wants suicide, it could at least not use its civilians as bait.

Seeing as Islam isn't a race & farm machinery can't be gay, it is as possible to be racist against Muslims as it is to be homophobic towards tractors. It is gravely concerning that those facilitating a cross-party commission investigating the Southport riots appear to disagree.
It is certainly possible to be racist against Muslims. And there is a strong consensus - including among half of the supporters of the violence & disorder, as well most of those who did not support it- that racism was one significant motive in the unlawful disorderly violence.
Several Hamas hostages have family from London. They include Emily Damari, a Tottenham fan whose mother is from Beckenham & murdered 83 year-old peace activist Oded Lifschitz whose daughter lives in Walthamstow. It would have been nice if their mayor had bothered to mention them.
The UK must immediately recognise Palestinian statehood. There can be no two state solution if there is no viable state left to call Palestine.

Liberals hate Brexit but love the delusion of Gaza being a British colony whose fate somehow lies within the imperial jurisdiction of the British Government. It is almost impossible to imagine being this disconnected from reality.
I was apolitical as civil servant; independent voter now. I’ve supported different parties at different times. I decided I could never again vote Tory after Brexit. Today, I conclude I can never again vote Labour, after their failure to act on Gaza. A grotesque moral failure.
