A man living with long term harm from an SSRI.
I took citalopram for 5 months. Almost 7 years later I still suffer from many lasting symptoms. Sexual dysfunction, fatigue, concentration problems, headaches, problems socializing, mood problems etc. Those who seek the truth on the harms of SSRIs are my heroes #Morethan2Weeks
We need as many people as possible to step up and share their story. Awareness is at an all time high for PSSD, PFS, and PAS, thanks to channels like Moral Medicine. It will only continue growing too. The sooner more people share their story, the sooner we all have a chance to be…

Does anyone else harmed by SSRIs feel like a complete sucker? I can't believe that I was fooled by Big Pharma into destroying my life. They knew that people like me would trust their doctors. All the money they spent marketing to them paid off big time.
There is no safe exposure to SSRIs. Even 1 pill can destroy your life in rare cases. Every time someone takes them they are playing Russian roulette with their future. If you are one of the unlucky ones, you will regret it forever.
Here's a really interesting paper about the impact of ghost writing. I agree with the authors, it's fraud. We need to stop corporations from manipulating science and lying to us. sciencedirect.com/science/articl…
Ssri's ruined my life, my cognition, health, emotions, libido and sexual function, my joy my empathy, my love, ability to work, to have a social life and so much more, my husband left!! Cruel! I have proven brain damage! Thx! Time for recognition, awareness and research!!
Withdrawal from psychiatric drugs can be worse than the symptoms they claim to treat—yet patients aren’t warned. What’s too often labeled a “relapse” is actually withdrawal: minimized, gaslit, misdiagnosed, and cynically used to justify continued drugging.
Mark @MoralMedicine is doing an amazing job with his YouTube channel, but he needs our help. If you or a loved one have been harmed by medication, please share your story with him. Even if you have spoken out before, we need to consolidate all these stories in one place.
Just look at the internal drug company documents obtained in litigation to see why they didn't want to tell the public or doctors about withdrawal from antidepressants. 1) Email from Pfizer Norway shows that they don't want to volunteer list of Zoloft withdrawal symptoms, but be…

Recently I came across this book Medicines Out of Control?: Antidepressants and the Conspiracy of Goodwill It talks a lot about how Pharma downplayed withdrawal effects. More relevant now than ever. You can borrow it online from the internet archive: archive.org/details/medici…
Medication-induced suicide isn’t only linked to akathisia, psychosis, or delirium. Iatrogenic deaths can also result from enduring adverse effects—like emotional and physical numbness—that strip away a person’s ability to feel, connect, or function in ways they did prior to…

🚨 PFS/PSSD Community — Act Now 🚨 The FDA is directly asking the public to submit questions to the Commissioner for their next “FDA Direct” conversation. This is your chance to be heard. It took me less than 30 seconds to submit mine. If you’re a sufferer of Post-Finasteride…

🧵Antidepressant withdrawal—why do researchers keep downplaying it? blog.maryannedemasi.com/p/antidepressa… A new study claims antidepressant withdrawal symptoms are mild and short-lived. But for many, the suffering is real—and long-lasting. @LauraDelano @coopercdavis

New study says that if you stop antidepressants for 2 week then depression symptoms don't get worse. What exactly was the drug doing then? If it takes >2 weeks for the drug effect to wear off and a relapse to occur, wouldn't it take the same for withdrawal to kick in?

Useful article on long-lasting antidepressant withdrawal injuries from @NPRHealth including showing people who have delayed onset withdrawal effects that are debilitating, one of the many things missed by the Kalfas JAMA Psychiatry review about to come out bit.ly/3IjLSR9
