What about Post-SSRI Sexual Dysfunction and other debilitating post-antidepressant syndromes? While those meds have helped many, others have been swept under the rug and forgotten. Where is the justice for those who didn't have medically favorable outcomes?
Sat in South Kensington having a coffee and even though the sun is shining, people are enjoying the day. The anhedonia from SSRIs is just blocking every positive thing out. I literally cannot integrate with the world. It’s like you’re in a fucking bubble.
"I think PSSD should be something that everyone should have on their radars. It should be something that's at least talked about by your doctor." @NoahRyanCo, the founder of Health HQ, talks about PSSD and the current lack of informed consent in a conversation with @DrMcFillin.
I stopped taking escitalopram over four years ago but my emotions and my sexuality are gone. I used to have a very high libido so that’s why I’m sure that my complete loss of sex drive is caused by the medication. I’m unable to experience sexual attraction and can’t fall in love.
Antidepressants have made me so apathetic and careless. I’m constantly making mistakes since I don’t double-check things due to brain fog and indifference. I will never be able to drive a car since I can’t focus and it feels like I’m in a constant fog, detached from reality.
Met someone whose psychiatrist wants to taper him off an SSRI in 9 days after 10 years on an SSRI. I can't make this stuff up. This is mental health care in U.S.
"The thing these folks complain about even more than the sexual problems is they feel emotionally blunted and they have some mild cognitive impairment [...] It's almost like their sensory system has been like totally turned down" @taperclinic in an interview with @yoalexrapz.
If you suffer from post-SSRI, Post-Finasteride or Post-Accutane Syndrome, please complete the attached IRB approved questionnaire and forward to others with these conditions. Trying to quantify the impact of this condition. @PSSDNetwork oakland.az1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_6g…
"when they start to come off the medication, either that doesn't get better or it gets worse. There's actually something about coming off the drug that damages the nervous system even more." @taperclinic explains the two types of PSSD to interviewer Alex Clark (@yoalexrapz).

Stop calling people who've been injured by ssris and other psych drugs "fearmongers" when they're literally the only people on here giving you true informed consent about the drugs you're taking
I remember being prescribed sertraline age 15. The doctor told me ssris have an excellent safety profile and that the worst thing that could happen is that I might experience nausea for a few weeks. I was permanently chemically castrated later that night. PSSD

The insane world of psychiatry! The drug is never in question. Ever! If you have adverse effects, it's your illness getting worse. When you're instructed to taper cold turkey or too fast and you go in to withdrawal, you're original "illness" has come back or you have an…
"I urge everyone who has experienced similar harm to speak out. Your story matters." Andy, 37, has suffered from Post-SSRI Sexual Dysfunction (PSSD) for 13 years. He recently shared his story with @MoralMedicine. #WorldMentalHealthDay
"Psychiatric drugs are reported to be about 50% more effective in clinical trials funded by the drug’s manufacturer than when trials of the same drug are sponsored by other groups, new research shows". news.osu.edu/bias-found-whe…
Why is there never any mention of the potential permanent changes in the brain caused by antidepressants in mainstream media? Me and thousands of people are robbed of their humanity. #pssd #Psychiatry
My donations to PSSD research this month. It goes without saying how absolutely absurd it is that sufferers have been almost solely responsible for trying to fund their own cure. Where is the accountability? When do we get help? @MHRAgovuk @US_FDA
The REAL ways antidepressants cause suicidal behavior I hear a lot of BAD reasons about why antidepressants make people suicidal. Probably the worst excuse is that “they energize people before the antidepressant effect kicks in,” putting them at higher risk. That’s a…
