Raising awareness for Post-SSRI Sexual Dysfunction (PSSD), so that we can accelerate research efforts and find a cure
@FinasterideInfo Kelsey, my heart is broken. Despite everything you were going through, you gave every last part of your energy to improve the lives of others around you. A true hero in my eyes. We’ll never forget you ❤️ pfsfoundation.org/news/kelsey-si…
This is an amazing illustration. Lexapro made me feel exactly like this when I was on it, and so-called “professionals” tried to convince me that it was helping me. It wasn’t.
Did you experience polypharmacy? #MentalHealth #MentalHealthAwareness #psychiatry
One of the biggest realisations I had after developing PSSD, was that there is nobody collecting data about treatment emergent side-effects persisting after discontinuing the medications, and no laws requiring that this data must be collected.
Drug regulators like the FDA, MHRA and TGA cannot continue to allow drugs onto the market without the manufacturers showing that they can be safely stopped after long term use. (27/n)
Sometimes I still feel completely stunned when I remember that SSRIs, which governments are using to control the urges of violent sex offenders, were prescribed to me for mild depression as a teen with ZERO discussion on the affects on my developing sexuality. They know these…
🚨 NEW: Sex offenders will face mandatory chemical castration under plans by the Government Justice Secretary Shabhana Mahmood will initially launch the voluntary scheme in prisons across the country [@JackElsom]
"One person looks at, like, a thousand reports a week, so when they see, you know, sexual dysfunction from an antidepressant, they look at the case report and they just go, 'I don't really have time to follow up on this one'" @taperclinic on why the @US_FDA misses rare events.
"Now, these folks who have been exposed to ashwagandha, they're reporting genital numbness and loss of sexual sensation... a complete loss of libido... anhedonia—which is the inability to feel pleasure" @taperclinic explains ashwagandha syndrome, which has similarities to PSSD.
I woke up one morning and instantly knew something has gone terribly wrong, something's wrong with my body, and I quickly realized I'd lost all sexual sensation in my body... -Emily Grey, co-founder of the Canadian Post-SSRI Sexual Dysfunction Society buff.ly/yLVvBzf
No mental illness causing tactile numbing of the genitals. SSRIs have been reported to do this since the beginning. This is disastrous for sales of drugs and client retention of psychiatrists so they lie about it.
"Doctors these days can't do that. They don't listen to the patient, they don't believe what they're being told, which is: 'Doc, a week ago, before you put me on these pills, my libido was great.'" @DrDavidHealy discusses the rise of medical gaslighting since the 1950s.
"It is a crisis—it's just not a mental health crisis. It's a crisis of psychiatric iatrogenesis, as I call it. The word 'iatrogenic' means treatment-induced or doctor-induced harm." For international informed consent day, here's a message @LauraDelano shared with @TuckerCarlson.
"A compulsory prescription led me down a rabbit hole of bad decisions. The best one I made was to come off of it." eviemagazine.com/post/what-my-s…
"I think PSSD should be something that everyone should have on their radars. It should be something that's at least talked about by your doctor." @NoahRyanCo, the founder of Health HQ, talks about PSSD and the current lack of informed consent in a conversation with @DrMcFillin.
Four teenagers charged over six-hour gang-rape of girl in Sydney, Australia. 19yr old Adam Abdul Hamid, and three others, who can't be named because of their ages, yet clearly will be of similar names. Everywhere they go, the same sickening behavior. Mass deportations ASAP.
As the years have gone on with PSSD, I’ve found that it’s oftentimes easier to keep myself permanently busy than have to stop and sit with the reality of the situation. The impact that this condition has had on my personal life is soul crushing.
The issue with this is that the withdrawal caused by SSRIs can be so severe that it can take YEARS to taper off them safely. We all know that fertility has a ticking biological clock for women, some of them won’t finish their tapering until their fertile years have passed

New podcast with @DrDavidHealy gets into topics ranging from permanent sexual dysfunction to never-ending orgasms and mass shootings. In other words, we talk about SSRIs.
I don’t think you can use SSRIs for “chemical castration” one minute and deny PSSD the next.
Shabana Mahmood avoided answering the question directly as yes/no. Notice how people do this because they don’t actually know what they’re talking about. She probably has no idea that chemical castration is already rolled out because everyone’s on SSRIs which cause PSSD.
Sophy: And does it last forever, is it permanent? Shabana: You have to keep taking the medication. UK Justice Secretary @ShabanaMahmood's answer is incorrect. The planned chemical castration for sex offenders uses SSRIs, which can cause permanent PSSD.
False Narrative: "COVID-19 Vaccines Saved Millions of Lives" This final stand by the Pharmaceutical Complex and their state actors is coming into full form. We are now being told vaccine injuries, disabilities, and death from COVID-19 vaccination were somehow worth it because…
