Cardinal Pizzaballa visits the ruins of the Rosary Sisters School, a Catholic school in Gaza, desecrated by Israeli soldiers with Hebrew graffiti and the Star of David
Hope he told him to shove his phone call
The Vatican confirmed that Pope Leo XIV received a telephone call this morning from Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu. The call followed the Israeli military strike on July 17 targeting the Church of the Holy Family in Gaza, which resulted in the deaths of three individuals.
Israel murdered this elderly Christian woman while she was taking shelter at the Holy Family Catholic Church.
Make no mistake this was an attack on the Catholic Church for standing up for the human rights of Palestinians.
The Holy Family Church, the only Catholic church in Gaza, was struck by an Israeli shell on Thursday morning, resulting in several injuries, including the parish priest, Father Gabriel Romanelli. Cardinal Pierbattista Pizzaballa, the Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem, told Vatican…

Taybeh: The last Christian town in the West Bank is under israeli settlers attack: The priests of the town appeal to the international community for immediate intervention
I guess we can finally share this now..
Oh but Glastonbury
Ahead of the deployment of the 22nd Battalion from Carmeli Brigade into Netzarim, Gaza last April, the battalion gathered to prepare for their entry with a clear objective of what they were about to do. A large crowd of soldiers and officers cheering, “May your village burn”
This is the only entirely Christian village on the West Bank.
More horrific footage from the Israeli settler pogrom against the Christian village of Taybeh, Ramallah, in the West Bank, where settlers set houses and vehicles on fire.

Three and a half hours before today’s re-Consecration of Ireland to the Sacred Heart, relics are piped into the Basilica at Knock, County Mayo in preparation for the 3pm Consecration Mass. Wonderful to see such a crowd here so early ahead of 3pm.

Parliament is about to vote on the Assisted Dying Bill. I tried so hard to find a way for my vote to be counted so I could stay with my family. It beggars belief that this wasn’t possible. As such, I have just arrived at the House of Commons to vote against this Bill.
The vote on abortion today, which I voted against, should have been a stand-alone matter, facing as much Parliamentary scrutiny as the Assisted Dying bill, and not an amendment squeezed into a 380 page Crime and Policing bill. The full scope & implications were not considered.
