It’s been a productive few days in Germany visiting Siemens, Fraunhofer, Bosch, Arthrex, and Mercedes-Benz. By strengthening our partnerships with these top companies, we maintain South Carolina’s competitive edge in the ever-accelerating race for new jobs and capital investment.
I'm in Germany this week working to recruit even more jobs and investment to South Carolina as well as to recognize 50 years of the @SCcommerce Europe Office. Since 2017, European companies have invested over $8.3 billion in our state, creating more than 17,500 jobs and counting.
I’ve appointed Margaret Bodman as South Carolina’s next State Child Advocate. As an experienced attorney with a strong background in child advocacy, she is well prepared to lead @ChildAdvocateSC and will serve our state’s children well.

South Carolina Task Force 1 has been on the ground in Texas providing critical support in response to last week’s catastrophic flooding. Our prayers remain with the people of Texas.
