Paxtonworld always muddies the waters before the storm. They hyped drama about a staffer before the divorce dropped. Now it’s a state rep in their sights, and Paxton’s caught claiming three primary homes in a possible tax and mortgage fraud scheme. They’re gasping for air and…
Seeing Red will be back soon, but in the meantime, check out host @gwfulce's debate with Luke Macias on all things #txlege. youtube.com/watch?v=rQDpi_…
These elected officials who proclaim faith & family values, but then break their most sacred covenants with God & their families are disgusting. Their families deserve better and so does the R party. Deciding not to run again is the correct move. Get right with God & your family.
Alex Grace, alleges she had a long-term affair with Republican State Representative Giovanni Capriglione (HD 98) beginning approximately in 2004. She said she decided to share her story publicly out of ethical concerns and a sense of personal obligation due to Capriglione’s…

Quite the quote from NRSC on this AP story “A lot of people who trust Ken Paxton get lied to, so it isn't shocking to learn he is also cheating on his taxes and personal finances," said spokeswoman Joanna Rodriguez apnews.com/article/paxton…
Letitia James is under federal investigation for mortgage fraud. But Ken Paxton? He did the same thing four times! 👉 One's under investigation. The other should already be indicted. crookedken.com/financial-fraud
Texas is actually one of the more fair maps in America; Democrats got 40% of the House vote & 34% of House seats; reasonable Compare to California, where Republicans got 40% of the vote and 18% of the seats. Or Illinois, where GOP got **47%** of the House vote and 18% of seats
This is not democracy.
“He’s a victim of his own malfeasance and mismanagement because people did not want to work for him anymore,” Cornyn said. “And if you run off your best lawyers because you engage in questionable ethical conduct, then you’re left with very few options. But this shouldn’t be a way…
The Texas attorney general’s office, one of the largest in the country, has more than 700 attorneys.
Did he outsource the response, too?
The Fake News can't stand that I've secured billions for Texans and won historic victories over Big Tech and Big Pharma. That's why @zachdespart refused to print most of our response. If you want to know the facts, here's my team's full response: Attorney General Paxton has…
Adam forgets it was the tobacco cases and contingency contracts that sank AG Morales. Big states don’t operate this way. Corrupt Ken had the case handled in-house until he ran off key staff with his corruption, then paid millions more to reward his friends with no-bid deals.
Reporter @zachdespart has no idea how law works and didn’t bother to make some calls about it. AGs regularly hire outside counsel on the very big cases and the results here speak for themselves. Many examples like this - tobacco, opioids, Medicaid fraud etc. #txlege
The Texas AG's Office has such a bad reputation now, no competent, ethical lawyer with experience will work there. The turn over is massive. But Paxton doesn't care. He gets to hire big money lawyers with taxpayer money and then gets big campaign donations from those firms'…
I think the bigger question is why the AG’s office is paying a hefty premium for outside lawyers to assume risk in the first place – a practice that had not occurred since Dan Morales was in office. I don’t have a problem with the State hiring outside counsel on a reasonable…
The big mistake was right up front on Zina’s “hourly rate.” Comparing (1) a higher effective rate because you took on all the risk to (2) a rack hourly rate is really deceptive and misleading.
CC: @KenPaxtonTX, call your attorney.
2/ The Director of the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) says Schiff falsified mortgage documents from 2003 to 2019 to secure favorable rates. The fraud involved multiple homes in Maryland and California—at the same time. And there you thought it was just Letitia James.
🚨🚨 Texas AG @KenPaxtonTX claimed three homes as primary residence. Democrats are being probed for similar issue. apnews.com/article/paxton…
I judged my father too harshly for falling asleep on the couch at 8pm after work
There are lots of rumors floating around about bathhouses, infidelity--the whole gamut. Typically, it isn't until something is substantied that it's reported.
There are a lot of rumors circulating around about various legislators in Austin. If there is any truth to them, why didn’t they come out before now?
None of the state's surplus came from property taxes; it came from sales, franchise, and severance taxes, among others.
That $33 Billion they OVER COLLECTED from you in Property Taxes last year... They didn't even consider giving it back to you. They gave it to Hollywood plus $150 Billion in "incentives" out of your future taxation. They have NO interest in doing away with your ever increasing…
You don't have to submit a letter; the announcement is the letter. Luke knows that. I might be mistaken on this, but he's also likely in a holdover position, which means he'd remain in the position until it's filled.
Hey @JonGimble, have you submitted your letter of resignation to run for the Senate? As District Clerk, I'm sure you're very interested in following the law and you know that you serve in a resign to run position. The GOP is a party that believes in the rule of law. #txlege
Hegar at TAMU, Zerwas at UT.... HD 28 is stacked! Is Gates gonna get tapped for the Tech spot?
The UT Board of Regents has named @JohnZerwasMD sole finalist for UT System Chancellor and @JimDavis_UT sole finalist for @UTAustin President—both unanimously supported. “Among the top responsibilities of the board of regents is to ensure UT institutions have the best leadership…
Because America is an unfathomably wealthy nation and most of its citizens, even the relatively poor, prefer to travel in a conveyance that would be the envy of any king in ages past.
Why did we build our stadiums around the most inefficient form of transportation?
