I had the privilege of working with @SarahJTracy during my Ph.D. studies and benefited a lot from her mentorship. Strongly recommended, Illinois folks🤓
For any #qualitative researchers at University of Illinois -- I'll be leading a one-day workshop there in September. Would love to see you there. csbs.research.illinois.edu/crafting-quali…
Great to see this manuscript was in print. In this paper, we aimed to understand virtual event participants’ experiences through the lens of mindfulness theory @unhchhs. Also, a huge thanks @lmisene for suggesting this interesting theoretical perspective to me several years ago!

How to write the conclusion of a paper buff.ly/2C3ufm8 By the time we're writing the conclusion to our papers, we are EXHAUSTED. I share here a strategy I use to write better conclusions (hint: save scraps from every section to help you as you move forward).
It was my great honor to work with these competent scholars 😎😎😎 In this study, we examined how sense of community plays out in a very cool sport - roller derby. Check it out👇 @unhchhs @RST_illinois Sense of community in roller derby tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.10…
Glad to see this paper is in print. In this study, we investigated whether and how the cancellation of in-person sport events can be leveraged for sense of community @unhchhs @RST_illinois @gordoncollege Huge thanks to @ILMarathon for funding this project. ingentaconnect.com/content/cog/em…
If you sit for more than 6 hours a day, read this:
This happens to almost every paper I write🤣
Me, writing that paper I agreed to write in 2023.
RMP students are well represented at Northern New England Recreation and Parks Conference😎 @unhchhs

My colleagues and graduate students are presenting at Northern New England Recreation and Park Conference 😊👍@unhchhs

In 2016 I herniated a disc in my lower back. I couldn’t walk and had to take pills for relief. After years of seeing doctor’s I found my own solution. Here are 7 exercises I used to get rid of the pain:
7 plank exercises I love: 🧵 1. Low plank bird dog
I just found that there is a lovely public library five minutes away from my place. It will be a frequent go-to spot for me @DurhamPLNH

I haven’t driven a car since I got my Chinese driving license in 2014. Might completely forgot how to drive now🤣 Not into driving 😅
As of today, I'm officially car-free! I used a car the past few years to get to my field site for research, but since then it's mostly been sitting in my parking lot. I have plenty of bikes & great transit access! Buh-bye to gas, oil changes, insurance, and all the rest! 👋🚙
It might be challenging for me to write 500 words every day, but the rest of them sound doable to me😆
I'm going to be entering a period of monk mode from now to the end of 1st quarter of 2024. · No alcohol · Limited social events · No processed sugars · Writing 500 words a day · 13 minutes meditation a day · Only time for business & family Doing this to prep for a massive year.
My name is Guangzhou. I have a fake English name David 🤣🤣🤣
A bit more thought about Asian name (in)visibility in US academia and implicit discrimination. Zhixuan is my born name; Kyrie is the name I gave myself as a tribute to @KyrieIrving in high school. I equally identify with these two names and used them interchangeably for years.
Thank you @docyubo for inviting me to speak to the future talents in sport management.
Happy to host my friend Dr. @guangzhou_chen from @unhchhs speak to our Chargers @UNewHavenSMGT on community sport and sport for development!
Despite different disciplines, I found that my research overlaps with this excellent work by @SarahJTracy and her colleagues. Everything is intertwined😂
