RFK Jr is crowing about cane sugar in sodas. Meanwhile, 5 parents asked me today if their children are likely to lose their Medicaid and their access to health care. This is not what "winning" looks like.

I talk to families every day about healthy diets. I recommend that they cut down or eliminate sweet drinks. That makes a difference. I never advise them to drink sweet drinks but choose cane sugar. This is smoke and mirrors and will not make anyone healthier.

I didn't go to Steak n Shake when they used high fructose corn syrup. I have no plans to go to Steak n Shake when they use cane sugar. Neither is healthy. So I think I'm winning.

I tried explaining crypto to my nine year old and she said, “It sounds like someone is trying to sell you their imaginary friend.”

In today's United States, it would likely be celebrated. And children would die as a result. And there would be no response beyond "thoughts and prayers."

A six month old baby sits in a safer car seat today than anyone over thirty. If I had young children today I would refuse all car seats. Do you see how stupid that sounds?

Some people have very bad - even life threatening - reactions to penicillin. It's rare but it's very real. But do they then go on a life's mission to completely ban it so no one can ever again receive antibiotics? No Same should apply to vaccines.

2 patients. 1 with Medicaid. 1 with BCBS insurance. Child with Medicaid loses coverage along with thousands of others. The local hospital closes and doctors leave. Child with BCBS now has no access to care. Do you get it now?

"We Can't Make Everyone 100% Happy" Speaker Johnson. But we CAN keep children healthy with access to health care. And we Can keep children fed with healthy foods. And we Can provide good education. We are simply CHOOSING to do none of those things.
