Over the last month folks have been asking me if there are grief support groups for Black men who have lost their wives during childbirth. 😞 I haven’t found any, and our team is at capacity, but I hope someone applies to our most recent grants to do this. We need it badly.

It’s Wednesday and LA Councilmembers Nury Martinez, Gil Cedillo and Kevin de Leon are still refusing to resign from office. The fact that they think that they can remain in office is absolute mind boggling and says even more about who they are.

It not hard to call out racism, homophobia, and anti-blackness. It’s not hard to push for accountability and healing. It’s hard to watch other people you love and respect stay silent.

Our city is hurting. We deserve to heal. We deserve to rebuild. But neither is possible without accountability. I’m waiting for resignations.

Forgive yourself for the decisions you made when you were lost. You lost sight of yourself. The good news is now you’re coming home to yourself.

self-sabotage is real. don’t let ur mind destroy yourself.

Be teachable. You’re not always right.

Stop telling people your plans, level up in private.

Normalize not telling everybody everything.

I’ve literally written & produced atleast half a dozen films with black gay themes and leads, creating outstanding black gay comedy & content for over 20 years. The challenge is getting the community to talk about (positively), support & uplift the work that we’re out here doing.

Removing myself from anywhere I feel bad energy, bullshit, weird vibes or sneaky shit is my kinda self-care.
