How To Survive Cancel Culture is out now in ebook and paperback. Link in bio.

The gender affirming care model isn’t working. I’m arguing for the first line of treatment for gender dysphoria to be a biopsychosocial model, with professionals who value patients’ long-term wellbeing like Kenneth Zucker paving the way.
People don’t choose to be woke, they’re indoctrinated into it. Like this person, who’s woke right.

I used to be non binary. I had they/them pronouns. I had X on my ID. I had MX on my bank statements. I really thought I was a secret third gender because I didn’t conform to female stereotypes. It was all stupid. I’m not non binary. I’m a woman.
I was brutally canceled for writing a book called Finding Autistic Joy, left social media, accidentally treated my gender dysphoria, started a new account and went viral for talking about how I’m no longer trans.
Share a piece of lore about yourself
I’m an English professor at William & Mary & for the first writing assignment in all my classes, I tell students to give me their version & a version written by AI. I tell them not to indicate which is which & I grade them both & make a guess. it’s never been hard to tell.
Just so you all know, the way trans activists are explaining away an increasing amount of detransitioners and desisters is, “c!s people get gender dysphoria too.”
“You were never trans.” Okay let’s play that game. If I was never trans and I didn’t have “real gender dysphoria,” why did a doctor prescribe me testosterone? If prescribing me testosterone was a mistake, then wouldn’t you agree that gender affirming care is flawed?
Should doctors who prescribed young women testosterone while they were brainwashed by a social contagion be charged with a crime?
People assume I was a child when I thought I was non binary—then trans—then almost transitioned. They think it was a fad and I grew up. But I was in my early 30s. When I tell them this, the next thing they assume is that I must be stupid. How could someone in their 30s…

I hate asking for help, but if you appreciate my work and have the ability to help I’d be so grateful. ❤️ If not, it would still help a lot if you shared this.
When you have a culture that believes words can cause harm, wrongthink counts as “unlawful violence.” It’s time to save as much money as you can and have an exit plan, because when institutions can stop you from accessing your money based on your beliefs you’re no longer free.
11/ This is not a small problem. Stripe handles more than a trillion dollars in payments every year. Millions of businesses rely on their tech. If they can put a “hold” on my money for no reason, they can do it to anyone. Is that the plan @patrickc?
