Introducing Cased, now with interactive agents that do the busywork of DevOps for you. Cased is always-on: fixing problems like infrastructure drift, finding cost savings in AWS, and helping when deploys go wrong. Check out just some of what Cased can do:
In my entire career, I've never fought with a single piece of tech as much as I have RSC. The amount of staff+ level eng we've thrown at it over the last 2 1/2 years to try to make sense of it… is honestly depressing.
So far my experience with RSC is that it's all very simple and awesome until I need optimistic UI Then one component turns into 3, data loading moves out to parent components then passed down as props and new contexts are needed No opinion yet, but dislike the big code shuffle
Pretty much all software tool adoption right now is fear based: "YOU BETTER STOP USING VIM AND START USING CURSOR MAX YOU ANALOG PIECE OF SHIT, OR YOU'RE GOING TO LOSE YOUR JOB IN THE NEXT 2 WEEKS". Interesting times…
I'm the co-creator of twitter bootstrap… so yes, it's a skill issue.
honestly all of devs bellyaching about CSS is a skill issue sorry dunno if that's what this is here too but man LLMs are so good. just have it generate stuff and then debug. then again i'm really particular about CSS...
still dont trust an llm to write css, but it is my lawyer and doctor
👋 Some news! I've started a software company. Headquartered in Toronto. We're building a product to augment devs for the new era. We have S-tier backers and we're aiming high. If you're a strong engineer or designer who wants to try something ambitious – we should talk.
When your deadline is in an hour and Claude just said “oh I see what the problem is” for the 10th time in a row so you start invoking the coding gods for help
turns out vibe coding is just software development where code quality/correctness is assumed. If i’m working with a small group of engineers i trust – I'm also NOT reviewing their code. I just don't care. I’m “vibe” coding. Most software, starts here – llm or not.
last weekend pierre [dot] co went down for a bit – this felt bad. But also a good time to add git blame?? And then i made a dumb video about it.
ai can think. i no longer think you should learn to think
I no longer think you should learn to code.
this looks ridiculous. utterly useless to parse information from. It's hideous aesthetically, it's not an outright entropy driver but wallows in wasted digital/graphical therbligs, and if you stop at a still-frame, it's just repetitious self-fellating. "Oooh wiggly lights!" ew.
