Teller of Stories. Parent to two small boys & trying not to lose my brains. Magazine writer on pause. Clean Air Campaigner #CleanAirforKids @CleanAir4KidsUK
This morning me & the boys went to find Carla Denyer on the campaign trail. We had built an air filter for the Green Party head office. Meet Greta the Germ Gobbler! Some journalists from the local press happened to be around, so there was an unexpected flurry of photography.

This is upsetting. Nurseries are "stepping up cleaning" but ventilation & air filtration are not mentioned! We need impeccable indoor air quality to help control this. Measles is an AIRBORNE disease. It spreads quickly before the rash appears. h/t @CoastalK8 @JournoJess_
Just quickly popped into the local Co-op and an almighty rainstorm begins lashing down. Everyone in the shop starts shrieking & gasping. "Oh my lord!" "Crikey!" Strangers in the queue are having full-on conversations about rain. #SoBritish
Ok so today's my birthday and my partner Ben has just triumphantly given me..... An Office Chair.
See below tweet - great work by @alco2024 If you want to send letters to politicians to ask them to provide clean air for kids in schools, template letters are at this link (letters are written for Bristol, but you can amend them)… @CleanAir4KidsUK cleanairforkids.co.uk/help-us
The sun is shining. I have had a coffee and a muffin and sent some emails to Bristol councillors to tell them about @CleanAir4KidsUK. A good start to the day. Now the boring tasks at home. Look forward to sending more emails at my next coffee break!😊 x.com/CleanAir4KidsU…
"Ventilation is also really important to lower carbon dioxide in classrooms, which is linked to attention & can reduce the risk of spreading infections" @CleanAir4KidsUK campaigns for better ventilation & filtration in classrooms. Can you help @DrGaryFuller?
What are our children and teachers breathing in the classroom? First results from a year long monitoring programme in nearly 500 UK schools. My latest for @guardian. Study by the SAMHE team. theguardian.com/environment/20…

With over 14% of areas reporting null results, including many of the larger urban centres in the UK, UKHSA's headline figure of 6.3% has got to be wrong, and is an underestimate. jamestindall.info/skeuomorpholog… 8/8
Imagine if schools would have implemented Filters in schools at the same time we did. Many more kids would be in a much better health and mental condition now

📢🚨 Big update for healthcare & community mask users! 😷 The new EN 14683 standard (v2025) on medical masks just dropped with key updates. Let's dive into the changes 🧵👇 ⚠️ TL;DR: Medical (surgical) masks are NOT PPE! They are designed to protect others, not wearers.

Not been on @LBC for a while, but had to call in when I heard @AliMirajUK talking about #attendance... Listen to me having a bit of a rant about how ridiculous it is to ignore illness as the MAIN reason for pupil absence and what @educationgovuk can do: youtu.be/IWZ2MqKwl1A?si…

Chronic teacher shortages and increased sickness absences have pushed schools to rely heavily on supply agencies, costing the education system nearly £1.4bn in the last year alone news.sky.com/story/supply-t…
Hello @bristolgreen Can you help with this below? It could be a real-life example of @TheGreenParty doing good things. @sianberry has a clean air 10-min rule bill, and you run @BristolCouncil so why not implement it where you can already? Have a look at @CleanAir4KidsUK
This is very interesting, below. I wonder if the @TheGreenParty will do some joined up thinking with it? @sianberry has a 10-Minute Rule Bill calling for clean air standards, and the Greens run @BristolCouncil where they could introduce clean air for kids in schools. Simples!
Here is a link to a PUBLIC Facebook group for those suffering with Long Covid. I wish everyone had to read the posts everyday, then it would dawn on ppl what is actually happening. It is up to 122,000 members. This is just one of many, many groups. facebook.com/share/g/1Q2r2h…
Hello @TonyDDyer Did you see the 10 Minute Rule Motion introduced by Green MP @sianberry calling for clean air standards? Will you make it happen for Bristol kids when they are at school, please? @carla_denyer cleanairforkids.co.uk/inspiration/cl…

If you use this link it's easy to download a template letter to send in support. You can adapt the letter to ask your politicians to give kids clean air to breathe, no matter where you live. And we especially want people in Bristol to write in support. cleanairforkids.co.uk/help-us
