Physics teacher, proofreading not teaching. Physics teacher widow. Miss him 😢 UK schools are poorly ventilated but #CovidIsNotOver #CleanAir #CovidIsAirborne
Surely there's no reason not to get behind this campaign for #CleanAirForKids.👇 It's not that difficult, it's not that expensive and the benefits are many. Please support in any way you can...spread the word, help get #CleanAirForKids everywhere!
Clean Air for Kids Ltd is finally out in the wilds! And a registered Company. We need to clean the air our kids are breathing. Especially in schools where they spend the majority of their day. Let's just do it! @CleanAir4KidsUK
As Hugh Pym is the Health Editor for the BBC why does he never raise the subject of infection control with the NHS or the Government?
Given how much we now know about the short, medium and long term health damage repeated Covid infections can cause @grok, would it be sensible for the NHS to include reducing the spread of the virus in their plans to shift to a prevention service?
Make schools & nurseries safer by improving ventilation & #CleanAir but the clamour to have schools open no matter what meant little to no consideration for how to do that safely & protect us from future pandemics @CleanAir4KidsUK
“Watching nurseries bring back Covid hygiene protocols while medics urge people to get vaccinated, it feels as if we’re blindly going over an old routine, scrubbing surfaces with disinfectant and denial.” My col. on measles and repeating the same mistakes theguardian.com/commentisfree/…
We can't see the air we breathe in. And we can't see the myriad pollutants and pathogens it carries with it. And so we merrily breathe them in. But if we could see them, would you still be happy breathing them in? Have a look at the two air filters in the tweet below...
When an expert on long covid writes this you would think our government would act? @wesstreeting @EdwardJDavey
How about better ventilation in schools which would reduce the spread of measles and covid @UKHSA?
Measles has been spreading in England this year but children can be protected by 2 doses of the #MMR. 👦 👧 The school break might give you a chance to book your kids in for vaccination at your GP practice if they need to catch up: nhs.uk/vaccinations/m…
I'm finished for the year! Thank you for all your support. It's not easy being the only one doing this, and you really help.🧵
Science tells us that portable air filters reduce the risk of transmission of airborne infectious diseases, but buying an air cleaning device that uses filters can be complex. We've got a guide to help you avoid bear traps... cleanairforkids.co.uk/inspiration/an…
Wil Wheaton being an absolute legend again. I might have to steal this idea. #maskup
Did you know 'persist' is an anagram of 'priests'? And everyone who masks up carries a little of God’s compassion and wisdom into the world, standing between suffering and safety with love, like priests are supposed to. #MaskUp
I'm very tired, yet I persist. #MaskUp
Maybe if we called it a brain virus instead of a 'common respiratory virus' people would take it more seriously. "Hey, it's me Jim. Do you still want me to come into my air traffic control shift today? I've come down with a brain virus"
Trying to pass this off as a common cold 😵💫🫠 It’s covid season (which is every season)
We regret to announce that @mathieuvdpoel is forced to abandon the @LeTour prematurely. Mathieu had been experiencing symptoms of a common cold over the past few days. Yesterday afternoon, his condition began to worsen significantly. The team doctor monitored him closely…
🚨 Do you remember when this dingdong said that TB incidence would make the best bellwether for Covid induced post-infection immune damage, back in 2022? Look what has happened since then. Like the man says: **"Latent TB turns into active disease in immunocompromised people"**
Imagine a world where people paused in 2020 and then implemented safety measures to reduce the risk of airborne disease transmission.
I just wish public health and the media would properly stand up and say: "Yeah, Covid infections do cause lasting damage to physical and mental health, and there are actual valid ways to stop infections"
I keep saying it. We're going backwards...
It's done it. TB cases in England have just bust past the 5,000 mark for the last 12 months. 5,001 people here diagnosed with TB in one year for the first time in *decades*. And it's still rising.
The NHS has the cheek to talk about “prevention” while patients are put at risk every day due to inadequate infection control. How can they be that stupid to ignore decades of research on airborne transmission and the importance of ventilation? It’s simply beyond improbable.
The 10 Year Health Plan commits to shifting the NHS from a sickness service to a prevention service. Reaching patients earlier will support everyone to make the healthy choice the easy choice, and help prevent illness. Read more about this shift.

Imagine if schools would have implemented Filters in schools at the same time we did. Many more kids would be in a much better health and mental condition now

I would like answers to these Qs too…@educationgovuk @AliMirajUK @LBC
I don't understand why journalists want to focus on parent blaming when the Govnt's own data - & the Covid Inquiry for that matter - show a far bigger story & that's kid's health is at risk in schools & no action is being taken to prevent this. Why is this? I'm a teacher.
