Medicine has a diverse range of specialties that can accommodate many different aptitudes..those with poor technical skills..those who don’t want to interact with patients. If we are to test aptitude it should be during internship before specialty training. NOT while in school.

‘Normalisation of deviance’ was a term used after tragic Challenger Shuttle disaster when pre-flight issues were accepted by NASA Patients on trolleys in corridors has also become ‘normalised’ Cutting corners to save time or effort is another example that can impact on safety

Ohh. Red scrubs. That’s an idea. Although ‘ Handmaids Tale’ an issue.
Small, brown woman here. Have to compensate with louder voice and "quickly" so others know this. Wearing red consultant scrubs helps. A number of males have brushed past me to stand in front despite this, though, and I've had to call it out immediately or risk loss of control.
I don’t think hospitals will ever understand this.
The best hospitals in the world are the ones that support the ER from 5pm to 9am the same way as from 9am to 5pm. Patients don't choose when to be sick or injured.
