Today one year ago the term #LongCovid was born as a Twitter hashtag. A single tweet from a person who was not recovering from COVID-19. A single tweet very few noticed at the beginning. We have come a long way. We built a movement we hope will help change medicine.

While I agree there are potential dangers in healthcare information shared on social media, we must remember many physicians, sadly, have greatly misunderstood Covid, especially in the early pandemic. It was Covid survivors to say Covid was long medpagetoday.com/opinion/second…
We are tired, but we persist. The end game is too important not to. :)
New article out today. A more timely title might have been “How Doctors Become Fascists.” I’ll have another essay out next week on the minority of doctors who refuse to simply go along with violence and who build underground care systems in response. kwnsfk27.r.eu-west-1.awstrack.me/L0/https:%2F%2…
ableds having their first realization that disabled ppl simply die or suffer deeply without access to many inventions & services extending far beyond DoorDash will never fail to amaze me. like they just learned yesterday some ppl can’t stand, use limbs, etc. incredible stuff
Two days ago I posted about how many folks said disabled people who can’t cook for themselves should be institutionalized. Today Trump signs an executive order permitting the arrest and institutionalization of homeless people & those with mental disabilities. Eugenics.

#LongCovid comes with clear pathology and an evident palette of biomarkers, when the scientific evidence is assessed. Reducing LC to a "mystery illness", some "fatigue", and "unexplained symptoms" is a way to avoid treating patients and accountability for the pandemic disaster
There are concerns about a "mysterious illness" going through the pelaton at the top cycling event Tour de France. Several racers were reported to be affected already days ago. Since then, star M. van der Poel has withdrawn with pneumonia while R. Evenepoel left feeling "empty"
No, you’re not superior just because you’re not disabled. No, you’re not superior just because you don’t claim benefits. No, you’re not superior just because you’re able to work. Disabled people aren’t the problem. Ableism is.
Care Homes were put under 'intense pressure' to 'make their contribution' by admitting covid-positive patients from the NHS. Important evidence today at @covidinquiryuk from Cathie Williams on behalf of the Association of Directors of Adult Social Services.
Study on animal model (golden hamster) showed SARS2 can be neuroinvasive, with viral RNA and replicative virus found in the brainstem 80 days after infection. "Infected hamsters [also] exhibited a neurodegenerative signature in the brainstem" #LongCovid nature.com/articles/s4146…
