Starmer said: “The BMA leadership should be under no illusions… this action will play into the hands of those who do not want our NHS to succeed in its current form.” 🤔 This is, IMHO, political claptrap. The NHS is failing- whether we like it or not.😕 thetimes.com/article/7a6a33…
A brilliant takedown of all the nonsense & contradictions in the NHS Fife-Peggie case, such as Dr Kate Searle only knows she is female because it says so on her birth certificate… 👇 “Case of nurse Sandie Peggie and the trans doctor is dystopian farce” thetimes.com/article/ba6130…
Day 5 | PM Session | Peggie v NHS Fife & Dr Upton How to Bury an Email (and a Woman’s Rights) The fifth day of Peggie v Fife NHS Board & Dr. Upton closed with two afternoon sessions that drilled straight into the case’s procedural and moral core. Dr. Kate Searle - A&E…
Who’d have thought? Smaller practices have better patient satisfaction than larger ones. Guess which ones @wesstreeting @DHSCgovuk @NHSEngland want to keep?🤔 Yep the large ones & make them even bigger! Good one Wes et al! 🤯 gponline.com/10-year-health…
Dr Kate Searle should apologise for her misguided email - with its unfair & ill-informed condemnation of Sandie Peggie. But she won’t, of course she won’t… I expect she will try to take the moral high ground, insist she was being inclusive & tackling perceived bullying. 😳
Tomorrow: Dr Kate Searle appears at tribunal. She was Dr Upton’s supervisor - and his first senior backer. Days after the Peggie incident, she rallied 20 consultants behind him. But her show of support was branded “unwise.” Now she’ll answer for what she saw, what she said - and…
Sandie Peggie was fully entitled to expect access to a single-sex changing space at work. She should never have been undermined, insulted & discriminated against for asserting herself over this right. NHS Fife deserve everything that’s coming their way. #istandwithsandiepeggie

I was pleased to give evidence in Sandie Peggie v NHS Fife today. The time will come when women don't have to defend themselves for expecting ordinary privacy and dignity. #IStandWithSandiePeggie
That is sickening. These handmaidens are the worst. He's a sexual fetishist male invading a female changing room for his kicks and thrills. Sandie did the right thing. Upton thought he'd get away with it because he's a doctor and she's a nurse. #IStandWithSandiePeggie
NHS Fife making a mockery of themselves… 👇 “I don’t know my own sex, diversity officer tells Sandie Peggie tribunal” thetimes.com/article/00ffd1…
How much genetic engineering do we think is OK? Where do you draw the line? 😕 ‘Three-parent’ babies are born in UK via pioneering IVF treatment thetimes.com/article/9a0e70…
NHS Fife waited till the last possible minute to do this (just before tribunal resuming), wasting huge amount of taxpayer resource. Hope she takes them to the cleaners at the ET. Sandie Peggie cleared of gross misconduct allegations | The Herald heraldscotland.com/news/25316918.…
Couldn’t be more delighted that my daughter’s new secondary school has introduced a #smartphonefree policy. No smartphones at all allowed on site- if brought in they will be confiscated for 4 weeks. Let’s hope it works. It was always unnecessary to kids to be exposed to this. 🙏

I like @ToniaAntoniazzi but am happy to stand against decriminalisation of full-term abortion for many reasons - including safety of women whose health is put at risk, but also because the baby is alive too. And this talk of "reasons" is absurd idealistic special pleading.
Having worked in the NHS for 15 years, I concluded this a long time ago. 👇 I went into medicine because I wanted to care for people & provide a good service. The NHS healthcare model is clearly failing & it’s time politicians were honest about this. thetimes.com/article/bf4e73…
Call me a cynic - but if someone (especially the government) wants to pay you money to buy something - it probably isn’t a good deal? 🤷♀️😬 thetimes.com/article/5f1630…
Just swam over 10k up and down the Avon estuary in the Bantham Boomerang event, making it all the way to Aveton Gifford where my husband and kids were waving from the shore. Took nearly 3h - by far the longest & furthest I’ve ever swum. I’m feeling quite pleased with myself. ☺️
