The "notwithstanding clause" in the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, found in Section 33, allows both the federal Parliament and provincial legislatures to override certain Charter rights for a period of up to five years.
The Sean Feucht controversy has brought to the fore, once again, the fact that a large percentage of Canadians view other people’s rights as being subject to their approval. At the slightest hint of a difference of opinion, they consider other people’s rights to be forfeited.
You don’t have to agree with Sean Feucht to be concerned. When the CBC and government censor worship or suppress dissenting beliefs, they violate the freedoms of religion and expression guaranteed in Section 2 of the Charter. That’s deeply illiberal. torontosun.com/opinion/column…
Everyone in Canada needs to be familiar with Roncarelli v. Duplessis. In this landmark 1959 Supreme Court case, a Montreal restaurant owner, Frank Roncarelli, was punished by the Premier of Quebec, Maurice Duplessis, for helping bail out fellow Jehovah’s Witnesses. Duplessis…
I’m at @seanfeucht’s Let Us Worship concert just outside Ottawa. It’s honestly one of the most peaceful and welcoming gatherings I’ve ever attended. Just people praying and worshiping God. What exactly are some Canadians so upset about?
Fuck off.
Great wake up call for conservatives to remember Joe Rogan is not a conservative. He gave platform to every single neo Nazi antisemite on this plant, but he refuse to have my father on his show, because he knows that he doesn’t stand a chance against him, and all those years of…
American Eagle ads, 2019 vs 2025. Woke is dead.
Montreal fines church $2,500 for hosting a concert with Christian singer Sean Feucht. The city says it REVOKED the permit because the event "runs counter to the values of inclusion, solidarity, and respect that are championed in Montreal."
Christian musician Sean Feucht is on tour in Canada and has now had SIX venues CANCEL on him for his religious and political views while government officials publicly support the cancellations. Canada has made it clear that Christians are not welcome. Canada has fallen
I’m a 52 year old Métis woman from Alberta whose lineage has been traced back to the founding of the Northwest Company in 1779. I am neither racist, homophobic, transphobic or a white supremacist. I do not own, nor have I ever owned any flag using foul language and I spoke…
Convoy people aren't pro-democracy just pro white supremacy/homophobia: many examples of LGBTQ+ harassed, immigrants and those with disabilities. Convoy people aren't victims they're victimizers. What Christian would wave flags saying "Fuck" (anyone) in front of their children?
The Dene Clan Mother who travelled with us, attended Ottawa and sat on the finance committee for the Freedom Convoy, told us in no uncertain terms that the Convoy was the closest thing she’s ever seen to actual reconciliation in Canada.
This is your periodic reminder that if your body is not, in fact, broken you should work hard to keep it that way.
Good thread. Unless you're a nazi or lefty.
If you hang around leftist circles enough you'll hear the "nazi bar" parable, and this explains how they think about everything. They don't see themselves as part of being a social movement based on highly controversial and hotly disputed ideas...
That guy almost killed this woman. Aggravated assault.
You're a disgrace. Openly hating Jesus while cheering on terrorist supporters.
This “concert” should not be allowed to be held at any public owned facility, let alone the Alberta Legislature. Pull the permit like other cities have done. There should be no space for hate on any public property. edmontonjournal.com/news/local-new…
As a civil liberties lawyer I am deeply concerned with what has been happening with the @seanfeucht concerts across Canada. While park officials have discretion to revoke permits for legitimate safety issues, it is unclear that the decisions here are guided by safety or if that…
Let me get this right Montréal: 1) You canceled our permit for a peaceful outdoor worship gather for no reason. 2) You threatened a CHURCH on private property to not have church. 3) You send a battalion of police to intimidate us. 4) Antifa throws 2 smoke bombs at my head…
This CTV ‘reporter’ is pushing the Marxist regime’s narrative against @seanfeucht. They’re not journalists—they’re activist propagandists. Christians don’t need permits to worship Jesus in church. Anyone suggesting otherwise is a tyrant.
I pray the churches across Canada are packed today with BOLD believers refusing to cower in fear to attacks, fines or persecution but will worship their God with JOY! I will preaching on this TONIGHT in my appeal to the nation from Toronto.
Any follow up on this? Seems a lot of identifiable people on this video.
Sadly this story just keeps getting worse. Canadians are embarrassing the hell out of themselves over @seanfeucht
My latest: The @seanfeucht show goes on. “It’s difficult, clearly, but these disgruntled pseudo-patriots are going to have to wipe the tears from their faces using Canada’s Charter of Rights and Freedoms.”
I’m at the sentencing hearing of @LichTamara and @ChrisBarber1975 here in Ottawa. The judge pointed out that the average person likely doesn’t grasp key nuances of the case like how the organizers tried to reduce the impact on the public by moving trucks, cooperating with police,…
